Most popular PC fad [ Cherrim avatars! ]

The HGSS character fad. It was so cool that I (being a well-documented anti-fadist) actually changed my theme to join in with it as well. It was April Fool's weekend, but it still counts. XD

To be honest, the biggest PC fad that ever started is one that we all take for granted today. I was an anit-fad-ist back then.

That fad was CSS. Everyone wants CSS in their signatures now, and you can't rate above a 7 without it these days. XD

Personally, I think the Cherrim avatars are just a way of getting Erica's attention. :/

Or... your attention, for that matter?
This.... except it applies to everyone using a Cherrim avatar.

Time for a backstory :D

1. Erica liked Cherrim.
2. I wanted to change theme to CHIRAMII but couldn't get any eshuu images, but I found the Cherrim one and loved it.
3. Essence signed up.
4. Deriozio decided to use it.

Dun jump to conclusions plz.
eshuu sucks, use a better image search site like pixiv or danbooru

Skills > CSS

You should change that to your real avatar, it looks nice. :(

The dancing Trapinch was my favorite fad. :> I wanted to start that sleeping Pikachu fad, but it failed. D:

But yeah, Cherrim is definitely becoming the new fad.

@_@ I don't think it's a fad until everyone has one. And I don't encourage it because then Cherrim would get old fast(er) and I don't want that. :<

Not that I'd notice an avatar fad regardless since I have avatars & sigs turned off nearly 24/7. :(

I think the Staff's + few extra's gym leader collab became the fastest growing PC fad, from my stay here at least. Pretty sure there are still sigs themed just like they were. Other than that, I guess the HGSS sprites were pretty popular. There hasn't been too many things outside of themes, signatures and avatars though. I guess there's habits of imitating a previous blog entry and stuff like that, but nothing very malicious or exclusive to PC.

I agree with some of the other users, the HG/SS was pretty big, the Cherrim is a close second though.
