    Hey guys,

similar question to my other thread for the other gens. So I have a setup allowing me to trade between fire red and emerald, so all 3rd gen mons are accessible! Question is that in terms of move tutors in gen 3, should i save specific ones for specific mons?

It honestly depends on which Pokemon you were planning to use. I'm not a competitive player or anything, so I'm not sure if there are certain moves that are ideal that can only be taught via FR/LG/E Move Tutors.

The only one that pops into mind right now is teaching a Togepi/Togetic Softboiled in Fire Red. Even then, Togekiss can learn Roost, but at least Softboiled lets it keep its typing to avoid Ground moves.

Well I doubt competitive still exist in gen 3 right now, just some viable mons for frontier tbh.
