In this thread I would like you to post both a Pokemon and a move that the said Pokemon has but doesn't make much sense with it.

I'll start with Dodrio, the bloody bird doesn't have any wing yet it can learn Fly? I dunno about the rest of you but if I ever saw a wingless bird flying I'd swear Satan was comin.

Mew, how can it use Steel Wing while it has no wing
Diglett and Dugtrio: no visible claw but can use scratch and slash

I agree on Diglett and Dugtrio though.

Um. They're based on moles, and the fact that they can use Scratch and Slash would infer that they do have claws underneath the ground. Else, y'know, how would they dig at all?

    Togekiss and any punch attacks. Togetic can learn Mega Punch (and Kick, actually) from Move Tutor in Gen III, and both Togetic and Togekiss learn Focus and Drain Punch in Gen IV. I know why it gets them (Togetic has hands, chyeah), but it's still odd. xD;

Gyarados and Splash. Its physically possible, but totally stupid

Some Pokemon like Cyndaquil or Aron get Iron Tail, but don't have a tail.

MimeJr gets Brick Break, how is that supposed to work with these thin and weak arms?
    Spoiler:

I agree on the diglett one,

but electabuzz being able to learn pyschic is kinda random IMO

I think the whole, Rhydon who can use Surf thing is still kind of weird. Very useful though when you don't have a water pokemon.

flareon can learn raindance but seriously why would you need that :P

    The move dive....

I understand it works in water and around water, but in the middle of a desert or the mountains?
    Seems kinda impossible to me.

Wooper and Ice Punch. I mean... c'mon. Mew and Attract too.

Also Alakazam and Iron Tail, I know that Abra and Kadabra both have tails, but wouldn't it have been easier just to make it so that those two CAN'T learn it? Why do they even have physical moves like that?

Finally, a lot of the moves Smeargle can learn via Sketch don't make much sense when you think about it (I like to imagine it can Fly by using its tail as a propeller, though).

    Pupitar and Crunch.

    Just...how?

How is it possible to teach Octillery Fire Blast, Flamethrower, Charge Beam, and Flash Cannon?! I mean, sure it has a rifle-like mouth, but that doesn't mean it can project anything out of there!

Miltank + Natural Gift (It only makes sense if you think about it upside down)

    Wailord + Defense Curl...

...I think the game programmers were on something...

How can a swalot learn dynamic punch when that thing barely has arms?

EDIT: I is not good at posting images
It also kinda confused me why hoppips always knew splash, it's not even a water type!

Probably Wailord with tickle, rollout and bounce. How can that thing do any of those things. Especially mimic, just because the move is mimic doesn't mean it should be able to use fly.

Elekid and Iron Tail. ._. It doesn't even have a tail. . Just a butt. What's it gunna do? Shove its butt in the opponents' face?
