Movie placements?

I was wondering if anybody knew at what part in between seasons that the movies take place, sorta like an episode. For example after what show does the movie mewto returns take place ect. Appreciate the help.

I don't think it's really placed anywhere . . . Most episodes start with something brand new, and focuses on one thing for the short 30 minutes the episode has. I think it goes the same for the movies, and then Ash and co. just don't mention it again in the show.
