Hi, I'm new here, I barely have a week practicing hacking in fire red.
Not sure if its because I applied a rom base to my clean FR rom, but I have a few empty slots in the item list, Items appearing as "???????". As I was trying to arrange this list to I could add extra TMs more neatly, I wondered if I could compress this list.
What I am trying to say, is that I which I could move all the items that I still want to the first entries of the item hex list and leaving the empty slots at the end. This would obviously require index changes of some well known items so...
1) Is it possible? Do we know all the places where I would have to change the item index for the new one? (example, evolutions based on items in the evolution table).
2) How much is people familiar to the current indexes of items? If I change the indexes successfully and then I want to share my work, would people using my changes make mistakes because they assumed items had their initial index?
