Hey all, this is my first thread on the forum, so sorry in advance if this isn't the right place to ask. But I'm having some trouble breeding pokemon on my Gold version and was wondering if there were any "expert breeders" her to provide assistance. Here's my dilemma:
I want a Charmander to know Belly Drum, so according to bulbapedia I need a male Snorlax that knows it. So I get the Snorlax and (finally) a female Charmander, and I put them in daycare, expecting them to be compatible. But when I check either pokemon, it says: "I'ts Snorlax/Charmander that was left in daycare. It's brimming with energy." What I know from many sources is that this means they won't breed, but what I can't figure out is why. Both Pokemon are opposite gender, and Charmander and Snorlax are both in the "monster" egg group so why would they be incompatable? I thought at first maybe Charmander had to evolve first, but when she evolved to Charizard it still doesn't work. My brother's having the same problem with a Meganium and Bulbasaur on Crystal version. Any ideas?
