My friend(s) helped me out with this deck, and I might choose to buy some of these cards, mostly because they're fundly. I'm quite new to the game; and this is probably a (meh) standard/bad deck, but please, C&C hard. I tried to put some good combos in, so that will help. :D

There's 56 cards in the deck...
I'll get to it later, but the general rule of thumb is 24 lands minus 1 land for every two pieces of acceleration, up to 4 lands dropped. There are things outside this general rule, but it's not for beginners. In your deck, that would be 22 lands with your 4 signets.

    Edit:
Ok. You'll have to look stuff up yourself:

You have very little early game defense until turn 3 (turn 2 if you count volcanic hammer). That's a bit slow. I'd probably consider shocks/bolts over pyromatics because of this. Train of thought is inferior to concentrate for your deck, just because getting up to 8 mana is going to be tough overall. 8 mana for 4 cards is not worth it anyway. I can see the interaction between peel and chronarch, but that's a 7-mana combo that does very little at sorcery speed (and without the chronarch, peel REALLY sucks). I'd probably take them out for something more practical, like jilt or into the roil. Tidewater minion is...too costly for what it does. You might want to think of another wall (if you want to be more defensive), or an evasion creature to fill up the gap.

Blaze I don't think is very good here either just because you can't get to a lot of mana quickly. If you want an improvement, fireball's better than blaze in just about every way.

    Combos:
    Niv-Mizzet + curiosity/ophidian eye
    Gelectrode + curiosity/ophidian eye
If you want a cheaper gelectrode/freed from the will combo: pili-pala and power of fire/psionic gift (of course, you lose the combo potential with Niv)

Oh, I forgot to mention that I knew this deck was really slow; that dosen't bother me much, even though it should. But, also, I'll try to fix tht problem with the lands... :x
