Multiple playthroughs?

I don't usually have both versions of a game. But when I do I have one that I used as my 'main game' and the other one to use whenever I feel like replaying the story or something. But sadly I don't have the options available so unless it's a game I really don't mind resetting (my White version is a prime example) then I sadly do not have the options to replay.
