Actually, Icha and I discussed it, but, oh, well. Glad you stopped being dead, Reyna. At last, we finally cover the Pokemon Hunters, about time.

    *laughs head off*

DC and I had a PM discussion earlier on which one of us was going to put this one up, and we decided it would be me...but then you show up again and post it. >.> <.< >.> <.< Yeah, good timing.

    ROFL

*ahem* Anyway...any bets on how many times Pikachu's going to attack in this episode? I'm guessing seven.

......Where'd his post come from? Oy, sneaky Mod posters...

I'm a Mod! I have sneaky powers! And nice to have someone...evil on this show for a change. I know we've had Hunters before (one from the 4th movie in Vicious' first scene, Rico from a Poached Ego), but never a proper introduction to the concept.

"Where does she get all those wonderful toys?"

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA I am honestly tempted to sig that highlighted part right this minute, it's so funny.

We've had plenty of evil characters on the show (remember Butch & Cassidy? Of course you do), but a Hunter...yeah, as I remember there was also a Hunter in the episode where Arbok & Weezing left (and Cacnea came in). Then again, that was nothing compared to this one.

HAHA Team Rocket still has the bad luck streak even when they're "good", huh? Or did nobody else just see that?

About Cassily and Butch. I really think that Jessie and James are acutally doing an almost just as good plans as of them. I mean recently to me Team Rocket Jessie and James have been doing really good on their plans and coming really close to winning one. So I kinda won't say Hunter Jay is kinda on the same level as Cassily and Butch.

This Hunter Jay kinda reminds me a lot of the Steel Masked Morador from the 4th movie with all of her gadgets. She is just like her but with a coolie outfit. Teeheehee

I'm just amazed they've taken as long as they had in order to expand the Hunter concept (4-5 years?). Better late than never, I suppose. It kinda feels like Pikachu Revolts, but not. I'm just happy a villain other than the evil org members own Pokemon to prove their point.

I wish Giovanni was in that cameo in Jenny's exposition. But, eh.

What an intro for Drapion, though. So badass.

Edit: Yeah, I noticed the Rockets' bad luck, too, but what else is new?

Oh my!!! I just got chills watch and listening to the things what the natorator said!!!! Also seeing a good villain getting away is something super different for a change so I really hope we see more of Jay later on in the show. So ruthless it is just scary!!! Even her pokemon are evil feeling too.

Burr!!!! Chills and it is summer too!!! Teeheehee

I'm kind of surprised they didn't do the traditional "the heroes triumph and the bad guy gets thrown in jail/blasted off" cliche ending. Gives potential for the future...but we know the writers will never cover it, of course...

Kinda like what they do most of the time? Maybe they will treat Jay like with Bruty or whatever his name is from Team Magma and just give her another episode later. Still we can only hope right? Teeheehe

I would agree that it ended a tad anticlimatically, but it's so blatantly clear that it's a setup for another encounter. You can bank on it. When, that's another story. I think the second encounter will be just as fine as this, here. But the finale? Place possible disappointment there.

I say possible, given the series' inability for closure. Between this, and Paul's role, and some upcoming canon character conversions, they're really trying to apologize for the past few years in format, aren't they? Or doing as it should be or dare I say, writing for a more American audience? I'll have to point the differences between Japanese and American writing one day.

It was great to see Gardie and Salamance again. Takes me back to the Butler movie.

Edit: Reyna, the Magma agent was Brodie or Bannai for you Japanese fans. I'd rather have Homura/Izumi myself.

I've been lookin for an episode that explaines the Hunters a bit more. So this was very useful for that. It was also nice to see an enemy that might actually remain static for a bit in the series.

This is actually the first episode I saw w/ Gardevior in it, and I feel terrible as I've been pronouncing it wrong the entire time. Way to go, Pokemon, for putting me in my place. XD

Unfortunately, I was unable to see it, and so far, it was the most wanted episode I wanted to see. Since they had Salamence and Drapion.

It was nice, although, I couldn't get over one thing, ALL The time that Dawn was near Ash + Jay, Why didn't she send out buneary for ice beam for 4x the damage to take out salamence? :/

I was half expecting her kirlia to evolve into gallade this episode, as this is one episode I didnt see the japanese counterpart to =P

I really thought this was a good ep (even though I missed the first ten minutes). The show really needs a villain like J, that isn't just comic relief like Team Rocket. Now we actually have a bad guy that may win some battles and actually poses a threat.

The Rockets were pretty cool in this ep (actually I think they've gotten cooler lately), I liked the "exit stage left" line.

This episode was just COOLNESS. I loved it. I thought that Hunter was someone from Team Galectic when I first saw her. The D/P games aren't released in the UK so I have no idea what they look like or what they're about. And I hope that's not spoiled to me. A few random notes

    - Ash's hat defies the law of gravity!
    - Team Rocket didn't blast off! Again! XD

Uh, that's it. Cool that the hunter could be a recurring character, I was expecting her to get caught. But then, I've found that the Pokemon police force isn't very good...yeah, very cool episode.
