    Brisbane Regional Championship
Earlier this week I had the chance to compete in the annual event in Brisbane called, namely the Brisbane Regional Championships. While I didn't quite make top 32, I did come 34th and I would love the opportunity to discuss who I went, and what match-ups I faced. So without further ado lets get into it.

    DECK - PERFECTION
So the list I decided to play going into the event what the MEW2 perfection list, essentially the list that Matthew Burris played at L.A.I.C, but with the changes he suggested to one of my friends. In the end I think Matt ended up playing the same list I did. I will add his original L.A.I.C list below.

    Pokemon - 16
    4 Jirachi TEU 99
    3 Mewtwo & Mew-GX UNM 71
    2 Dedenne-GX UNB 57
    1 Solgaleo-GX PR-SM SM104
    1 Charizard-GX HIF 9
    1 Charizard & Braixen-GX CEC 22
    1 Espeon & Deoxys-GX UNM 72
    1 Latios-GX UNM 78
    1 Mega Lopunny & Jigglypuff-GX CEC 165
    1 Greninja-GX PR-SM SM197

    Trainer - 32
    4 Welder UNB 189
    2 Guzma & Hala CEC 193
    2 Mallow & Lana CEC 198
    4 Acro Bike CES 123
    4 Cherish Ball UNM 191
    3 Tag Call CEC 206
    3 Great Catcher CEC 192
    2 Reset Stamp UNM 206
    2 Switch CES 147
    2 Escape Board UPR 122
    1 Stealthy Hood UNB 186
    3 Giant Hearth UNM 197

    Energy - 12
    8 Fire Energy 2
    3 Rainbow Energy CES 151
1 Weakness Guard Energy UNM 213

So this is Matt's L.A.I.C list, afterwards in an interview he said that adding a Naganadel GX, was vital and one should probably cut a bike for it, in his Regional List, he cut all the bikes, replacing them with the obvious Naganadel GX, 160 CEC, Marshadow from UNB and 2 Vital Mysterious Treasure. So now the list look like this.

    Pokemon - 18
    4 Jirachi TEU 99
    3 Mewtwo & Mew-GX UNM 71
    2 Dedenne-GX UNB 57
    1 Solgaleo-GX PR-SM SM104
    1 Charizard-GX HIF 9
    1 Charizard & Braixen-GX CEC 22
    1 Espeon & Deoxys-GX UNM 72
    1 Latios-GX UNM 78
    1 Naganadel-GX UNM 160
    1 Mega Lopunny & Jigglypuff-GX CEC 165
    1 Greninja-GX PR-SM SM197
    1 Marshadow UNB 81

    Trainer - 30
    4 Welder UNB 189
    2 Guzma & Hala CEC 193
    2 Mallow & Lana CEC 198
    4 Cherish Ball UNM 191
    3 Tag Call CEC 206
    3 Great Catcher CEC 192
    2 Mysterious Treasure FLI 113
    2 Reset Stamp UNM 206
    2 Switch CES 147
    2 Escape Board UPR 122
    1 Stealthy Hood UNB 186
    3 Giant Hearth UNM 197

    Energy - 12
    8 Fire Energy 2
    3 Rainbow Energy CES 151
1 Weakness Guard Energy UNM 213

The changes are interesting, the Naganadel is there to bench snipe Pokemon, in order to keep you in the game in tricky situations. Notice, Venom Shot does 170 damage to bench, OHKO a bench Dedenne, and in expanded a Tapu Lele. The treasures and marshadow are vital against ADP and stall decks, ADP plays down chaotic swell turn 1, and a turn 1/2 welder becomes very difficult for perfection, so treasure is an out to the resetting hole marshadow.

    THE EVENT
    Round 1 0/1/0
In my round one game I versed ADP which is a pretty hard match up if you have not tested against it, of which I had only done three to four hours of. It also didn't help in the slightest that I prized my Greninja both games and my opponent got his GX attack of turn two in both games. So it was an unlucky loss, But still a loss.

    Round 2 1/1/0
Another A.D.P deck, and I lost my first game, thought I would be off to a bad start, but I won the next two games. Game two he only benched Keldo's and elusive master got my greninja down on the bench very quick. He bricked game 3 and I won the game pretty easily.

    Round 3 2/1/0
I actually do not remember anything about round 3 lol.

    Round 4 2/2/0
Same as round 3 but also a loss.

    Round 5 2/3/0
I versed Baby Blace this game with a pretty lame record of 2/3/0, first game I opened with Dedenne & drew into nothing, game two I opened with marshadow and drew nothing, it was pretty rough.

    Round 6 3/3/0
Versed ADP again this round, it was pretty easy because my opponent could not respond fast enough my Charizard's GX attack, I also got elusive master to get Greninja down twice on turn two.

    Round 7 4/3/0
Again another ADP deck, but had a really nice opponent, after I won the first game, he scooped, and said we should play a fun game. Which we did, we swapped decks, and I do not know how to play ADP very well, so I attached 4 energies to a jirachi as a joke and I went into round 8 4/3/0.

    Round 8 5/3/0 Final and a 34 place finish
This was a close one, against Gardevoir.
I lost game one. But game two I got elusive master down with having already used two welders. I had hearth in hand and 2 guzma and hala, so power plant didn't scare me, he scooped pretty quick. By this time I knew he had no girafarig in the deck, (idk the gardievro lists) so I didn't mind discarding greninja with dedechange. I got scared when my opponent played a few untimely power plants, but I kept drawing ways to find counter stadium. It went to time with both of us having 6 prizes. I was turn 0, and had a lot of damage on mew2, so dug pre hard for mallow and Lana, I found it switched in tag call and didn't attach to greninja, which was stupid but probably wouldn't have mattered. I needed greninja to beat the first Garde because of the fairy charm, he promoted the bench guardiewith 130 already on it. He went great potion to 80, benched another gardevoir switched, and then stamped me to three. With charizard in discard and me having 3 energy on active, all I needed was great catcher and an energy. And in those 3 cards I got great catcher and rainbow energy. I had won.

NOT QUITE TOP 32 BUT STILL AN AWESOME 34th FINISH
Thanks for reading, tell me what you think.
