Ok, here are the rules you have to follow, if you didn't know:

No Game-Sharked Cartridges! No Pokemon over Level 50. No Legendary Pokemon: Kyogre, Groudon, Jirachi, Deoxys, Regi-Ice, Regi-Steel, Regi-Rock, etc. No Rest type moves after 7 minutes into the round.

So, I will be entering my first GB tournament on March 12. This was the team I was thinking of taking, and needed help with it. There are a few problems, though.

    1. Only 13 days to the tournament.

    2. No acess to a Ruby/Sapphire/Coliseum(Maybe) game.

So, with that in mind, I came up with this team:

    Sneasel

    Moves:
    Icy wind
    Slash
    Feint Attack
    Quick Attack

    Lapras

    Moves:
    Hydro Pump
    Ice Beam
    Psychic
    Thunderbolt

    Alakazam

    Moves:
    Psychic
    Recover
    Hyper Beam
    Focus Punch

    Electabuzz

    Moves:
    Thunderbolt
    Thunder
    Thunderpunch
    Quick Attack

    Feraligatr

    Moves:
    Bite
    Slash
    Water Gun
    Blizzard

    Crobat

    Moves:
    Poison Fang
    Air Cutter
    Wing Attack
    Confuse Ray

That's the best I could come up with. Any help is much appreciated! Thanks! :D

So it's for real and not just the Battle Tower in-game? Okay..

You'll want a better lead pokemon than this mate, he'll die in one hit, consider Jolteon or Gengar, or perhaps Porygon2.

    Lapras

    Moves:
    Hydro Pump
    Ice Beam
    Psychic
    Thunderbolt
Never tried it, but consider Surf > Hydro Pump.

    Alakazam

    Moves:
    Psychic
    Recover
    Hyper Beam
    Focus Punch
No hell no. Get rid of Hyper Beam and Focus Punch.. and Recover, if you can, breed the 3 elemental punches onto it for a Psychic/Fire Punch/Thunderpunch/Ice Punch set.

    Electabuzz

    Moves:
    Thunderbolt
    Thunder
    Thunderpunch
    Quick Attack
Nah get rid of this fella, especially if you choose Jolteon as a lead pokemon, consider something powerful, like Tyranitar.

    Feraligatr

    Moves:
    Bite
    Slash
    Water Gun
    Blizzard
Swampert is better than the Gator in my opinion, but the Gator can do a Swords Dance/Rock Slide combination which is nice, you might want to suss that out.

    Crobat

    Moves:
    Sludge Bomb
    Air Cutter
    Aerial Ace
    Confuse Ray
Get rid of Air Cutter for something else, I don't know what though, can it learn Shadow Ball?

I know I didn't help much set wise, but consider pokemon changes, and if you know any of the competitors teams, then counter them.

Thanks, Lion Heart. Yeah, it's for the tournament Battle Tower at like State Championships and Cities. Any ideas on what to breed with Alakazam to get the three puches? Also, I cant get Tyranitar because Pupitar doesn't evolve until level 55. Any other ideas on what to replace Electabuzz with? Thanks!

First of all, you need tanks. You won't get anywhere with just poor sweepers. Consider Umbreon or Blissey (or both). Trash Sneasel. Use a Jolteon as Lion Heart said. Alakazam must not know physical attacks. His base attack is 50. Also, Hyper Beam is a terrible attack for almost all pokemon (Slaking is an exception but I'm not going to make this a "Return v. Hyper Beam on Slaking" debate since I prefer Return with Choice Band for switching. Oops, I already expressed my view. Disregard what I said.) What's the point of your gator? Water gun, get real. Use Surf if you need a water attack. And don't use Blizzard. In fact, trash gator. Use Swampert as Lion Heart suggested.

It might help to use an online battling team, just without hidden power. You still should have roles, not just special sweepers. Heracross is good on level 50 (just be sure to breed Megahorn onto him) for a special sweeper. So is Machamp. I hope you have time to change your team around. Sorry that I didn't analyse each poke, but I don't have time. Take care.

I believe you could try to breed the punches onto Alakazam like this:

    Hitmonchan -> Medicham -> Alakazam

Stuck on that Level 50 thing eh... Well, Heracross is always there, but I think he learns Megahorn to later, which will mean you have to train 2 (1 for Megahorn, then breed it onto the Lvl.50 one).

You need somethig to take hits, I'm thinking Umbreon, or Blissey -_-'.

Also, I just realized that considering Tar isn't available until Level 55, wouldn't it be good to put in a Subrevver/flailer?

Since they can't stop it without Hail/Sandstorm, which I'm guessing no one would even consider.

So perhaps grab a Blaziken if you can (Or that Heracross) and EV train him in Speed and Attack, and create a Subreversalist, in all honesty sincer it's a Lvl. 50 competition, a Subrevver will fair VERY well.

    Heracross@Salac Berry
    -Substitute
    -Focus Punch
    -Reversal
    -Megahorn

If your opponent breaks the subs, you'll have a mean reversal. If your opponent doesn't break the subs, you'll have nice focus punches that don't require predicting. Take care.

Nah, try and get Salac Berry onto it if you can.

Kinda hard to reversal when your HP keeps going up.

    Salac on game boy?

I suggest focus band for random hax

    That's what I meant, lol.

Edit: I forgot about no sharked cartridges.

You can get a Salac Berry from Pokemon Colliseum if I remember correctly.

You should try and do that, as it will seriously be a nice addition to your team.

Before you do make sure it comes with a GBA-GC Link Cable or youre wasting your time.

I got one. It's just I had rented it before, played it through, got some of my guys off, but didn't get a chance to get them all onto my LG because it was 7:54 and the game was due back at 8 XD. But anyway, I think i'll have to do that on Staurday, because doesn't Metagross make a pretty good tank?
