(i hope this works) im attatching my first ever attempts at pokemon sprites. i know some of them (mewthree, lunox (although its supposed to look like that as in a game idea i have its the 'mother clefairy) and mrs mime ) are blatant copies of real pokemon but it was my first go. also i did it on paint rather than a more advanced program. i accept critisism because i know they arent that good, but since its my first go please be nice! :)

also if im not allowed to do this plz tell me cos im super retarded n cnt find the forum rules:D

People do this all the time so i think your aloud to do it. My fav is the panflame one, it looks the most realistic. Mrs mime isnt bad, but what is that really small one supposed to be?

the last one? lol it was supposed to be a dog, like a basic one that you find on the first route, its evolution looks better but its not done yet and i cba 2day

Some of them are good and they have potential but you still need to work on them but it is alright i like the fire one 1st and second form but 3rd did not do it for me

I liked the first fire but some of them were a bit silly but they were good. some I didn't understand what they were meant to be like the flat one? But good, If the starters were real, i would definatly choos the fire one, looks the most realistic.

Is the fire starter a play on Houndour/doom?

    American Idol Time:

Paula: OMG So cute I love the little things 10/10
Randy: Yo dog these are average dog but good work dog 8/10
Simon: Pityful work on SHADING my grandmother could no better and shes DEAD! 6/10

    I belive in Randy

i agree, you definitely have potential. these look better than some of my first scratch sprites. work on simplifying the designs. it's better to do this by drawing them out first and thinking critically about how they function. also work on making them more aesthetically appealing to the pokemon style by putting emphasis on the eyes. keep working at these and you'll definitely improve.

    lissen to sampson :3!
but really, to me it looks like you have all the fundemental concepts needed for fakemon and scratches, your shading is consistent the whole way though, though in some parts, it could do with work, like on Kabushes bush/hair/head. its just one stright line and it gives the impression it bends like a corner of a pyramid or cube, i think you wantt to make it looks rounded, so make the line follow, a good way of discribing this is to imagine you were colouring on a sphere, think how a stright line would chnage if you drew it on a sphere compared to a piece of paper, and how it chnaged when you move the sphere. also, rember a good techniqe for texture is dithering and you can always use anti-aliasing too. (if you dont know, dont be afaid to ask, but im pretty sure you knew already XD'). you also seem to have grasped the concept on lineart on sprites and correctly colour your lines too. very spiffy. im impressed. :3 (poepel can take a long time to grasp this concept, i remeber i did) very good for a first attempt.
so you seem to have all the artistic fundementals... besides anatomy. i would work on the anatomy of the creatures if i were you. if you nailed that you'd be a pretty formidable spriter ^_^
hope to see more in the future! Very good sprites for a first shot X3!!!!! *tumbs uppp*

:)THANKS! cheers for the great responses. i really didnt think people would consider them okay. ill take what youve all said and try to improve them in the future.

and fireape, it wasnt supposed to be but now i can deffinitley see what you mean, they do look similar. the ones i had most diffuculty on were Immolion and Kalvant (dreadful name i know).

I really like the thoughts, (We NEED a Mrs. Mime. Like, If it's not in the 5th generation, someone is getting thier legs cut off). The sprites aren't too shabby, could use some improvement.
Overall, A little practice in some basics and then go one to advanced.

You have fantastic potential. Good luck!

Even though I'm no expert on scratch sprites, these are still pretty darn good. :D

The anatomy could use a little work, but that's about it. :D Good luck. ;3

I think they are really nice, and you had good ideas!
Next time if you said you made something by yourself don't post edited exisitng pokemons ^^
