when you are making a post there is a paperclip on the top line click there and it will bring up a pop up to let you select what pictures you want to attach

I think unless you have 15 posts or more, you may not post pictures.
Ironically, this is my 15th post.

Or you can direct link using tags in the BB codes, if you have something like a photobucket/imageshack account that hosts the images and that would generate the codes for you; IMG tags would make the image appear on the page right-off, (i use them in my thread, if you still don't know what i mean)

If you don't have/want a photobucket/imageshack account, then the way eurydice told you will be good.
