My very first pokemon sprite

Actually, it's not my first sprite, just my first pokemon sprite...i made two sprites from scratch just for practice that weren't related to anything. One's just a headshot. Here they are, along with an improved (I think) version of my pikachu sprite, and an edited version of a pikachu I got off of Pokemon Village that I hope makes it look like Sparky (I can't remember the name of Sparky's trainer...I think it's Richie):
