Can someone give me a walkthough on how to get Mystery Gift?

Do you mean how to enable the 'Mystery Gift' option on the Title Screen? Because I'd also like to know how to do that, and have seen others with the option, but am unaware of how to do it myself.

You go to the man on the second(?) floor of the Jubilife TV building who asks you for your opinion on TV. Reply with

"Everyone happy"

and

"Wifi connection"

If you're talking about how to enable it on the title screen, follow these steps:
1. Go to Jubilife TV station.
2. On the second floor, (I think) there is a guy with glasses and an Idol shooting a commercial. Talk to the guy.
3. He'll ask what's your favorite thing about TV. Reply "EVERYBODY HAPPY"
4. He'll then ask how this makes you feel. Reply "WI-FI CONNECTION"
5. You'll get the Mystery Gift speech about how when you save and turn your game back on, you'll have access to Mystery Gift.

So far, Mystery Gift can only be used when Nintendo gives out events.

How do I activate Mystery Gift?
On Jubilife TV's third floor, talk to the TV Producer and give him two sets of phrases (see below). If there is a Mystery Gift signal (a person transferring a gift, or a wireless hotspot transmitting Wonder Cards), Press Start on the title screen and when on the main menu, the game will detect the Wonder Card signal and enable Mystery Gift.

The phrases are in two sets.
Japanese versions: 「みんな」「ハッピー」「Wi-Fi」「つうしん」
American versions: "EVERYONE HAPPY" "WI-FI CONNECTION"

Okay here is the Walkthrough Go to Jubilife City, then enter the television station. Go to the third floor, and look for a fat guy and a blonde girl standing next to each other. Talk to the fat guy and say "EVERYONE HAPPY" and "WI-FI CONNECTION" for the feed back , and he will enable the mystery gift.

and for now, you don't need to worry about enabling that...

at the Mystery Gift events, your game will automatically read that signal.

Did they ever had a Mystery Gift event through Wi-Fi yet? I'm pretty sure there was at least one from now.

Yes it would, it will also make us avoid from being a year late to the event... yeah... XD

Does Mystery Event do anyhting other than get you event pokemon? what about in other games?

I'm not too sure about that... so far it's been solely for event pokemon and event items that help unlock more event pokemon, lol...
