Club Description:

NaNoWriMo stands for National Novel Writing Month. It's an event staged every November in which writers spend thirty days writing a novel, or a piece of fiction that is at least fifty thousand words. Sounds like a bit of a challenge, eh? That's the fun of it. You compete against yourself in order to best your own score, so to speak.

This club, meanwhile, is for all those crazy enough to do it. Whether you're a past participant, first-time participant, winner, loser, or whatever, you're welcome to join and trade tips and tricks to getting towards your goal, share with others your progress, post snippets (Note: NOT ACTUAL CHAPTERS, PLEASE) of your work, and generally come to discuss the contest in general. We also plan on having weekly gatherings during the month of November (through chats -- hence the optional signup sheet) in which club members gather together in order to discuss the contest or kick back and chill with other members in real time.

Club Rules

1. This is a year-round club, and during the off-months, we'll be talking about our plans for next year, lessons we've learned in participating in the challenge, and tips and tricks we can trade in order to help each other make the goal for the next challenge. In other words, it's also a writer's club, so plan on staying loyal to us, please.
2. Do not post whole stories or chapters in this club. Snippets would be at most three pages of writing. If you want to show off your whole piece of work, please post it in the fiction forums and link it in here. Please note that we ask that you only link to threads that are on PC, not to threads outside the site.
3. All PC rules apply.
4. Stay on topic and be as helpful to the other members as possible, please.
5. New topics will be posted for discussion every Sunday, but you're welcome to continue discussion of old topics as well. (Why Sunday? Why not?)
