5th Gen Need Advice Making A Team

This is my first post here but I do plan on hanging out here more :). Anyways, I just wanted some advice on what pokemon would be best for the team I am trying to make.
I'm a speed person, I want to strike first yet deal out a lot of damage. Yeah I guess rather common lol. Anyways, the types I would like to have in my party are usually what I always get; Fire, Water, Grass, Flying, Electric, and Usually some random type.
I already have Snivy set as my Grass type so I'm good there, but do you guys have any good suggestions for the other types I want?
