[Question] need help adding pokemon to a rom

    This is my first time trying to make a rom hack. I'm not trying to do anything huge with it as far as story goes. I just want to make a rom that has every pokemon from gens 1-8 able to be caught, maybe gen 9 depending on how long this process takes. I'm having tremendous difficulty trying to do this so if anyone can walk me through the process where I can start adding pokemon on my own I would be very appreciative!!
