3rd Gen Need help with a glitch

    I am using VBA 1.7 and Pokemon FR + Jazz's patch. On one of the mystery islands I started battling a little girl's Staryu, the Staryu did a move I've never seen before and my game froze. I lost about 3 hours of gaming which isn't a big deal, but does anyone know if there is a cheat or code I could enter to maybe exit the fight or auto-lose or something?
