    I modified the part of the code for the Birch Intro, to change the Lotad into a Quilava successfully;

    But I had noticed, next to the SPECIES_LOTAD was a bit called SHINY_ODDS and it was set to 0.

    I tried a bunch of different numbers (25, 50, 75, etc...); But no matter what, after many reloads the Quilava was never shiny. Am I missing something, or does SHINY_ODDS have no effect?
    Any tips or information on this would be extremely appreciated!

    The SHINY_ODDS constant is used as the second argument to the CreateMonPicSprite_Affine function, which according to the function definition is the otId, the 0 is personality value.

    Shinyness is determined by the Pokemon's personality value and otId. The otId is set to that constant to ensure that the intro mon can never be shiny. If you want it to be shiny, you can set the otId to 0 while keeping personality as 0.

    If I change that to 0, would that make the Intro Pokemon always shiny? Or would it be random?
