Need help with Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Sky.

I juststarted playing the game. I'm a Vulpix and my Partner is Eevee. But everytime Eevee get's hurt i get's scared and runs away, so i have to keep fighting all alone. I hope someone out there can tll me if there is something to do about it :)

Either restart because Eevee sucks as partner, or get two other Pokemon to surround Eevee so he'll be less likely to be attacked.
Set his tactics to "Avoid trouble"
