This is indeed a fanfiction, please do not move this to the roleplay forum. This is where I will post the current editions of each chapters, however there is still a possibility that I may edit them further, in which case I will make a note that I have changed something so that readers can go back and read the changed chapters.
THIS FANFICTION IS RATED PG-13 HOWEVER IT MAY OCCASSIONALLY BORDERLINE R CONTENT. THIS IS THE ONLY TIME I WILL POINT THIS OUT, READ AT YOUR OWN DISCRETION!
(It seems that the font and spacing has been affected negatively by copying and pasting this out of Microsoft word. I will try to prevent this is future posts and updates.)

In short...: Anonline roleplay game based on Pokémon and the fantasies of the creators wasreleased recently in 2X13. The game was created illegally of course, andNintendo is fighting for rights to claim ownership. This doesn't stop peoplefrom playing, many of whom waited for its release as members of a private forumhosted by the game admins. Aware that the game may be shut down, the creatorshave developed private servers that have to be hacked to access without theencrypted passkey.

1: Welcome to NeoPokémon
TAPTAPTAP. She couldn't help herself, her patience was running thin.
She'd been up all hours of the night watching the download bar, worried that atany moment the internet would disconnect and she would have to start over. Thefile was massive: 500 GB of pure MMORPG-ness. If it had been a few centuriesearlier, she would have no hope of downloading such a game.
She giggled at her thought, feeling silly for making up words, but anythingcould be a word now-a-days; the Chinese-Americans finally coined the verb"to chopstick."
The glow-in-the-dark hands on her adorable black kitty clock read 5 after 12.It was already morning, how much longer could she stay up to monitor thedownload?
She's found at about the game at the last minute, so now she was making up forlost time by being the first to download, but that meant that everyone else hadbegun just after her, completely overwhelming her PC and the server than washosting the download.
She glanced at the highlighted option "Open when finished" andthought maybe she should wait until later, go to sleep, it's a weekend.
Just as another thought came to her head, that maybe it wasn't worth it, thedreaded "ping" of download doom came; she didn't look, she knew hereyes would not like what they saw- but then there was another "ping"followed by a melody, a short, simple tune, reminiscent of the Crystal versionintroduction. (And you would not believe how hard it was for her to find aworking copy on EBay.)
Finally, she looked at the screen; "Welcome..." flashed on the screenin green letters, the dots seemed to flow off of toward some invisiblemeridian, blinking dots... slowly the word faded and was replaced by a block oftext.
"Welcome to NeoPokémon, the world's first Pokémon MMORPG, designed to meetthe demand of the entire planet for a new kind of Pokémon game, one where theplayers can truly participate in all of the action, all the contests, all theevents, and most of all... all of the battles..."
A green loading bar appeared beneath the text, for a second she thought it had frozen, the bar wasn't filling up, but all of the sudden the screen flashed with aflurry of glittering colours and a Pokéball appeared at the center with wordsat the bottom: "We recommend that you put on your Face Mount Displaynow."
Overjoyed and too curious to go to sleep, she ran to fetch the FMD, a pair ofhigh tech blue goggles with a headset attached. It was wireless, all she neededto do was plug in the transmitter to her computer's USB ports and she was goodto go.
"Where is that thing?" she grumbled, rummaging through the papersbeside her computer monitor, one of them felt fuzzy, she grasped it. A pawreached out and batted at her hand, two yellow eyes peered out. "Mraaaow..."the small black cat crept out of the darkness and sat.
"Oh, hello there Mia." she smiled and took the fluffy little pet inher arms, cuddling her best furry friend. "What were you doing behind mycompu- oh!" she tossed the cat over her shoulder onto the bed, the catdidn't hiss, and merely landed gracefully on its paws before slinking away.
She picked up the USB adapter that Mia had been sitting on and carefullyplugged it into the USB port, then put on her FMD.
It was vastly different through the FMD.
Behind the glitter and Pokéball she could see a huge town, very much like theones in the anime but also unique, for there were aspects of medieval fantasyand scifi everywhere. It was the middle of a city, and a night sky wasoverhead.
Still, the Pokéball was there in front, preventing her from doing much ofanything. The message beneath had changed "Please connect gamecontroller."
She frowned, just another piece of gear she had to unearth from the bowels ofher messy room, fortunately it turned out to be on the floor by her feet. Shepicked it up and plugged it in. The message changed again, a flashy show ofglitter, "Press A to continue."
She pressed it.
"Welcome to NeoPokémon." A loading bar rested beneathe the text. Itstarted to fill, then jumped to full and the page changed to a bright gray pagethat seemed to be pleading with the PC to turn it white.
A basic character model appeared, along with many options surrounding it.
"This will be your game character. You can spend all the time you wantcreating it. But choose carefully, you may only have one character per IPaddress. This character can travel across servers.
There are many unique powers that you possess in this game that you do not havein the real Pokémon games, character creation is just the tip of theiceberg."
All the time I want creating her? she switched the FMD to translucentmode so she could see the monitor. At the top left of the screen was a Saveicon. Apparently she could save her progress on making her character.
Through the FMD she could see a 360 view of her character, even as a basicmodel she seemed alive to her.
"God..." she thought out loud. Mia hissed as if to tell her"shut up, I'm sleeping."
She smiled at her kitty, "Alright, alright." she hit the power buttonon the monitor and pushed away. "Grouchy kitty."
