4th Gen New Breeding Technique?

Ok, being a dedicated Pokemon breeder its only natural, so I'm a big fan of any new Pokemon breeding tactics, to the point I've been working lately on breeding the perfectly IVed Pikachu. I've heard something about the Power Gear (Power Brace, Anklet, Lens, etc.) now having some use in breeding. If a parent pokemon is holding one of the items, the stat that item promotes will have its IV passed down from parent to newborn. I find this to be an amazing addition to the breeding aspect of the game. Do you think you may begin to use this new feature to breed more powerful Pokemon?

I'm more of an RNG guy myself, but this is a great addition nonetheless. It's always nice to see GF show the more hardcore players some love. :o
