New Fan Fiction Rule Peese?

I think there should be a new set of fan fics named Mini-Fics They are the same thing with adventureas and battles and lots of description but they dont have to be so long

I thiink the Minimum is 5 now and you see alot of One page (On microsoft word if that) Storys and they are good but the length isnt right

What do you think

If the story isint long it's not going to get as much aspect as other tales do when there larger and even if they are shorter it gives people less to comment on and gives spammers more to mess with . It's possibly best that it is shorten by a little bit so it doesint look like a large story that belongs on a storyboard . But still should be long enough so that spammers can't make small talk while writing causeing the Place to go down the toobs T_T.

That's contradiction right there... "lots of description" and it's going to be a "mini-fic"... The rules are set guidelines and *can* be broken regarding lengths, but just that there's only a 5% chance that a very short fanfic is very good, and those fanfics are 99% of the time unrelated to adventure or battle.

If any fanfic is to head towards the OT path, it's definitely going to have to be an epic fanfic in order to include everything... unless you're only focusing one aspect of a battle, such as only the winning scene or the losing scene... If an entire battle is involved, the fanfic just *can't* be short and remain good then.

The shorter a fanfic is, the harder to write. The longer it is, the easier to write. You're actually asking something that only fanfic experts should even pay any attention to.

Really, you should have pmed this idea to the mods of the area, not started a CQ&F thread about it ^^;

Edit: Just to add, how short are these fics? The Writing sections aren't so overly packed that they really need additional subs. If you wish to submit a number of short stories, you could create your own short-story thread and just update it with your newest stories ^^;

Hey, that's a great idea! That way, if we see a short story that we really like, and we think "Hmm... I wouldn't mind reading more of <insert author's name here>'s work..." we won't have to spend lots of time searching the fanfic thread for more. :P This would keep it all condensed. The only problem I could see is for when I'm reviewing individual stories by that person, but doing a whole bunch of reviews in a single post. It could get kinda cluttered in there. If we come upon such a thread, we'll have to make sure our reviews are clear as to which stories they are referring. *_* Gah. Did that even make sense?

There's nothing stopping you from writing short stories, so ya ^^;
It's just an idea to keep all of your stories in one thread by you rather than creating a whole sub for them

I can't really see the use in a subforum either. :\
To my knowledge, there isn't enough attention in that area to even consider a split or add-on.
