[Intro] New here!

    Hello all, Eddie here! Been a fan of all things pokemon since red and blue!(Old timer here lol) Its been years since I was active on a pokemon forum and had been wanting to find a community and eventually stumbled upon here! I am mostly into the games and battling online (showdown or on console) and love team building specifically! I also got back into collecting the cards a few months ago as well. With SV around the corner I wanted to find an active community and hope this place fixes that craving!
     
    Hey, Big Ed. I have a friend by that name as well. I've been playing since RBY too. I am new to this community as well, meant to make an account years ago but forgot. I'm also big in to battles as well, got to play in first official tournament this year. I had been going to some for a few years, but had problems with making my accounts official; If u need help with making one, Id be glad to help.

    Hello, Eddie, and welcome to the forums! It's great to see more old timers (like me ^^) join PokéCommunity!
    What is your favourite starter (in Red / Blue) and in the other games you played ?
    If you are into cards, don't hesitate to check Pokémon Trading Card Game section.

    That's awesome! Which tournament was it? I've played on netbattle, shoddy, pokemon online, and showdown thru the years but never did any live tournaments! I was going to go with a friend to locals then a week later covid struck and I never made it to anything but did do the players cup matches on the switch. What's your favorite format to play? I love BW NU for singles and have been enjoying all the VGC formats this year

    My favorite starter from RB was Bulbasaur and all time he is tied with Treecko as my favorite starters!
     
    Hello and welcome!

    Do you prefer grass starters in general then? Will you be picking the grass kitty in Scarlet/Violet?

    I've been playing since RBY too, though I skipped GSC at the time due to not being able to afford a GBC back then.

    It is nice to see the Grass type get some love! I count Sceptile and Serperior's lines among my favourite starters, but also some Water types like Swampert's, and Fire types, especially Charizard's (number 1 favourite pokémon from the start ^^)!
     
    Each gen I have a different type I go with for starters! I am thinking Quaxly but I really wanna see their final evos!
