I started a new game on emerald and this is the team I am hoping for

    Sceptile@leftovers or petaya berry
    leaf blade
    thunder punch
    substitute
    toxic

    Raichu@sitrus berry
    thunder wave
    thunder bolt
    encore
    focus punch

    Starmie@shell bell
    psychic
    ice beam
    surf
    recover or rapid spin

    Armaldo@leichi berry
    sword dance
    rock blast
    arieal ace
    rest

    Metagross@leftovers
    shawdow ball
    meteor mash
    earthquake
    agility

    Flygon@dragon fang
    dragon claw
    earthquake
    flamethrower
    crunch

If this team is for the Battle Frontier, than the items are all right. Otherwise, try to get at least 5 Leftovers (Flygon can be your token Choice Bander).

    Leech Seed/Endeavor

Instead of Toxic-stalling, breed to get Leech Seed to annoy special walls like Snorlax and Blissey. Endeavor is also a nice fourth move for taking down just about anything that's giving you trouble.

    Raichu@sitrus berry
    thunder wave
    thunder bolt
    encore
    focus punch

This is as good as you'll get without another Substitute tutor

    Starmie@shell bell
    surf
    recover
    Rapid Spin
    Thunderbolt

Standard Starmie has both Recover and Rapid Spin, plus Thunderbolt for other Waters. Yes, Grass screws you over, but then again, you have three other Pokemon resistant to grass.

    Armaldo@leichi berry
    sword dance
    rock blast
    arieal ace
    rest

You'll ideally want Hidden Power Bug as one of your moves, but seeing how this is in game...well, that move is out the window. Really, since Starmie is your Rapid Spinner, Armaldo is kinda useless. It can get rid of Subbers, yet Rock Blast is really inaccurate. You may want to replace this slot with something else...perhaps Weezing/Regirock for a physical wall or Regice for a special wall.

    Metagross@leftovers
    Explosion
    meteor mash
    earthquake
    agility

I prefer Explosion over Shadow Ball to get rid of any Pokemon you can't take down. Besides, a STABed Meteor Mash has a power of 150, while supereffective Shadow Ball is 160, not much of a difference. Not to mention that Meteor Mash can raise your Attack.

    Flygon@Choice Band
    Earthquake
    Rock Slide
    Quick Attack
    Fire Blast

It's not the best Choice Bander, but it's still a very good one. Rock Slide for Flyers, Quick Attack finishes off weakened opponents that are faster than you, and you'll want to upgrade to Fire Blast to deal more damage to Skarmory.

    how bout'

    Dusclops@leftovers or chesto berry
    will o' wisp
    confuse ray
    shawdow ball
    rest

    ~*^*~~*^*~ ~*^*~ ~*^*~ ~*^*~~*^*~

Go with Leftovers. ChestoResting is overrated and only works once.

That Dusclops can work well, but the standard is

    Dusclops @Leftovers
    Shadow Ball/Night Shade
    Focus Punch/Seismic Toss
    Will-o-wisp
    Pain Split (breed with Misdreavus)

Seeing as how you're gonna use your Focus Punch TM on Raichu, you might as well go with Seismic Toss. Rest over Pain Split if you can't get a hold of Fire Red/Leaf Green.

If needs be you can breed Focus Punch onto Pikachu from Vigoroth (about the only Pokemon who learns FPunch naturally)
