New player looking for help

I just joined this community as a gate way to computer pokemon games and I was hoping to find a fun but beginner friendly fire red ROM hack and was hoping for some help finding one. I first got into this when I saw a Radical red play through but couldnt quite complete it.

I've heard good things about fire red Rocket Edition, Though I'm not sure if it has a higher difficulty or not. Fire Red extended is also one I've heard is pretty good. I'm sure there was a website where you could filter the roms you wanted by game and feature, but at this moment I don't remember, if I find it I'll tell you.
