New Shellos and Gastrodon form?

    I was just browsing through my pokemon sprites archive on my pc, and I found these 2 back sprites of Shellos and Gastrodon.

    Could they be another form used for other regions than Sinnoh or something? Or are they beta/unfinished sprites?
    Weird thing is that there are no front sprites of those.
    So, anyone knows what these weird forms are?
     
    I was reading online somewhere, I think it was the wikipedia site for HG/SS and It said something about unfinished Shellos and Gastrodon sprites. Hmm.
     
    I think it'll be for HG and SS. Like Plat gave new sprites.
     
    Could it possibly be just a shiny?
     
    They're sprites embedded in the Diamond and Pearl code, so it's assumed that they are simply unused, beta sprites.
