So while at work today, we had a Representative from Nintendo to check on stock as well as do some changes to their merchandise. While helping her we started talking and I found out 2 things.

    1) Nintendo is pulling remaning DS Lites from stores and redistributing them.

Why? I dunno. She said she was supposed to send some kinda report before she can ok the recall, but she left us all the packaging details.

    2) Nintendo is pulling all the Close range Distribution centers from Alternia. She pulled our DS that we use to distribute Pokemon when we get store distributions.

I ran into her again at Gamestop, she was pulling their distribution DS as well, she said she was pulling them from all of the stores she visited. She said Nintedo was moving to more Wifi Distributions and she said they may start to use the Nintendo Zone App more for other types of distributions.

So basically there won't be many Toys R Us or Gamestop Distributions unless they send us new ones.

I guess I'm okay with that, but I know what it's like to not be able to utilize wifi. I went most of gen IV without it, or to be more technical, all of gen IV without it. First time I used wifi was to get the Victini event in my Japanese White which is obviously gen V. I also don't live close to a TRU, so those were annoying as well. Gamestop events were my saving grace. Not the case anymore, but I think that's unfair to those that don't have wifi.

Seeing as I work at Toys R Us and there are four Gamestops within walking distance as well as have Wifi at home, at the Book store near where I work, at the coffee shop near where I work, and the Library 2 blocks away, I was pretty well set for all kinds of events XD

It sounds like a good idea for people who live near wifi nintendo will lose some of there audinece out in rural areas and those who don't live by wifi but that won't be much and a lot of them might just get wifi for it so it benfits internet companys and nintendo one con though is slow internet anybody who's liike me and has slow internet will really dislike this on xbox live it takes forever to download arcade games and games on demand

Months ago i would have been pissed because the only wifi i had had 2wire security and i didnt know how to fix it until two months ago

Nowadays i am excited because i dont have to drive to reach gamestop now i can just download wifi exclusive pokemon from my own home

    VERY EXCITED

I'm not sure if this is a good thing or a bad thing... I liked going out and getting event pokemon (even if the last time was years ago)... now everyone is going to have the new events and it's going to make trading difficult :/

Regardless the people in the rural areas would have had to go to a Toys R Us or Gamestop and that means they would be close to too a Wifi area anyways. So if they had to travel before they would still have to travel to go to a Wifi Access Point.

As for them moving to Wifi doesn't surprise me with distributions like Oaks Letter, Membership Pass, the Lati@s events on HGSS, Victini Liberty Ticket. The only thing I wonder is why they would do this solely through wifi since they like to promote events at these places for their movies.
