this goes for all especially the newer verisons
ok, i honestly think that a true gamer should be able to play without any legendaries
    period
(let's be realistic don't choose all 3 starters cause honestly they're all rigged)
so post your team of pokemons that would be the best WITHOUT any legendaries

    mines would be

    ampharos
    torkoal
    blastoise
    alakazam
    pidgeot
    tropius

    Blastoise
    Pidgeot
    Flareon
    Tyranitar
    Aggon
    Golem

Still hard to beat without legendaries.

A true gamer should be able to go through the entire game with a Clefable...I did. Charmander was so useless.

Honestly for ingame, Charmander SHOULD be able to sweep, with the exception of possibly out of PP problems. If Chikorita can kill Snorlax in Crystal, Charmander can also take down Dragonite (especially since Charmander's movepool is bigger than Chikorita's too).

Crobat (my signature pok?mon among my buddies)
Gengar (what used to be my signature pok?mon befroe G/S came out) XD
    Tentacruel
    Camerupt
    Sceptile
    Raichu

of course, aside from my sharked Gengar, it is my totally legit team from Sapphire.

    Mine would be
    Tyranitar
    Lapras
    Dragonite
    Butterfree
    dont need a sixth

OK... my ultimate team is legit (since I traded 2 over from Fire Red), and it's all water :D so...

    Omastar | Kingdra | Gyarados | Ludicolo | Milotic | Slowking

    ultimate non-legendary

    would have to be

    salamence
    metagross
    tyranitar (traded from Cryastal)
    Sceptile
    Arcanine (traded from fire red)
    Milotic

    am i right???

traded from crystal eh? thats pretty tough to do since they arent compatible

I usually would make a team of my favs:

    Raichu
    Typhlosion
    Azumarril
    Marowak
    Umbreon
    Sceptile

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! I couldn't live without Kyogre! *sob*

Er, but I can still build good teams.

    Mantine
    Tropius
    Torkoal
    Slaking (00ber, but who cares)
    Dragonite
    Altaria

My favourite team for double battles would be any 6 Pok?mon that can learn Protect and/or Earthquake. The only type immune to Earthquake is Flying, and since most Ground-types know Rock-type moves... well, it's self explainatory. ;)

    mine would have to be
    feraligatr
    charizard
    alakazam
    Haunter or gengar
    Raichu
and salamence i dragonite i prefer dragonite

This is My Team >>> :)

    Pikachu
    Swellow
    Golem
    Sceptile
    Charizard
    Blastoise

[I always have a Legendary in my Team] (So I just added Golem in my Team...:'()

Don't need any legendarys in my team.... here it is-

    Charizard
    Arcanine
    Blaziken
    Shiftry
    Heracross
    Absol

    That's easy...here's my team:

    Scyther
    Nidoking
    Feraligator
    Charizard
    Espeon
    Umbreon

Try usinng bad pokemon (stat wise) with possibly good learnable moves: ie- delkitty. That way u educate yourself with move combos, and u can rely on moves rather than stats. good moves for delktty would be: attract, dig (for toxic doing extra damage), swagger, toxic. Have brightpowder on to give xtra chance of missing. suggest u use attract 1st so u dont risk taking more damage w/ swagger's opponent gain + att. then use swagger, then toxic, then dig until oppoent switches or opp faints. if a 2vs2 battle try and have a wynaut/wabbafet/dugtrio/magnemite/ton for their mean look ability or any pokemon w/ mean look on them...

what he says does have a point
i mean we look at zubat and we laugh
we look at the evolved version golbat it's pretty decent but doesn't quite meet some of our standards
    and now we have crobat
    crobat = l33t

wuts leet? for crobat ya it has decent attck, high hp, and speed. Give it mean look, confuse ray, toxic, and sludgebomb. Confuse ray, then toxic, mean look, &sludge bomb. have bright powder or possibly focus band for 30% chance to survive. bright powder is betetr tho b/c works w/ confuse ray. this way 505 chance to miss, toxic always increases, mean look makes it so toxic stays and confuse ray does as well, then sludge bomb until opp faint. problem is steel are immune, and rock is resistant. so possibly replace sludge bomb w/ steel wing. it takes care of both weaknesses: ice and rock. or hp ground for steel and rock. its up to u, but if those pokemon come up, may as well switch, but try and get toxic on 1st esp with bright powder to help
