No One Said Life Was Easy
    PG-15
For possible violence and swearing, also a small chance of weak blood and/or gore.
(( If you see no spots taken down at the bottom for spaces, but people have already signed up, but not accepted, I encourage you to try-out for it! ))

This story does not include anyone famous, or anyone who will one day save the world. This story is about four everyday, average people who don't do your everyday, average things. But, if you think this story is full of too many plot twists and too much drama, I'm sorry to say, you're not prepared for life. Why? Because you must realize that life may be the best book you've ever read, or the worst. Whether you actually write this book, if someone else does, or even if your life isn't recorded down onto paper, its still a book. The funny thing is, you get to choose what happens on the next page before even flipping it with each step and decision you make.

Anyway, back to those four people of which this story is of. These four people have never met before, they might not even have lived on the same Region, the only thing that matters is that they found each other. They all somehow become friends and travel the world along with their Pokemon, following their own, separate dreams. But, nothing is perfect. Lies, disbelief, defeat, rejection, tears, pain, angst, anger, happiness, caring, kindness, randomness, laughing, love.

Two females, and two males, traveling together with their Pokemon. They all start out as great friends, but even what seems like a perfect friendship is actually a roller coaster, traveling up, down, and all around. No one said life would be fair. No one said life would be easy.

    Rules
[I know rules are very boring, but, it's a part of life. And no, rules were not meant to be broken. Sorry.]
1.) Romance is encouraged, but nothing beyond mild signs of affection, such as kisses or hugs. Anything beyond that is a big NO-NO. You CAN skip over stuff like that, people.
2.) Yes, you're allowed swearing. Don't go overboard.
3.) I will allow very mild character control. You can't control the actions the character shall take, but you can time the actions to your liking.
4.) Please read posts carefully. If a character is sitting under a tree, but gets up and moves to a different location, I'd like to not see "Whatsherface went over to that tree and sat down next to Thatchickwiththehair."
5.) CREATIVITY IS NEEDED. We need plot twists! We need drama! Make this interesting!!!
6.) I reserve the right to kick you out if you don't meet my requirements.
7.) Other than that, you should know your rights from wrongs. If you don't well... Good luck in jail. You all should know that the PC Rules do apply [of course] and if you've read all of this, I'd like you to post the word poka-dot anywhere in your profile. Thanks!

    Name: Cain Ritham
    Age: 15
    Gender: Male
Personality: Cain acts headstrong, when he is faced in a battle. However when he is alone he thinks to much and overemphisises a situation. When asked a question he would take a few minutes to answer. Cain feels Bold and brave yet he is not afraid to show his weakness. He is usualy finding friends in different towns he visits and usualy meets them in other towns he is yet to visit.

When Cain is battling he usualy breaks down under pressure and his Blaziken feels the same way without someone to guide it. This is usualy the number 1 cause of his loss in battles. Currently Cain is trying to find out how to cope with pressure

Appearance: Cain's hair is black and his hairstyle is slicked. The back of his hair goes down towards the bottom of his neck. His pigmentation makes him look almost like an Albino except for his black hair. He has a shapeedo tooth necklace that belonged to his father who was once a pokemon trainer. He wears a black hoody with a zipper and a hood. The inside of the hood is green mesh. He wears grey jeans with a brown belt and a silver buckle. His shoes are white sneakers with black laces and blue soles.

    Pokemon: LVL 75
    Species: Blaziken
    Nickname: Blazken
    Gender: Male
    Pokeball: Luxury ball
Personality: Cain's Blaziken is blind without his trainer. Without Cain Blazken attacks randomly and shoots balls of fire in all directions. But with Cain the pokemon battles run smoothly without disorder. Cain feels that if he could train his Blaziken to the limit he could be unbeatable.

Blazikens social skills are somewhat adiquate. Blaziken relaits with pokemon quite well. But if he just won a pokemon battle against it he would dominate. If he lost he would be moody. If he just met this pokemon he would challange it immediatly.
    Other: none
    RP Sample:

Pallet town was next on his agenda. Cain perfered traveling without his Blaziken on occasions. Since he did not like how it tired very easely. Cain was in Viridian City and he was challenging the gym there.

"Blaziken use blazekick and finnish this."

The gym leader Blue's Pigeott fainted with one fell swoop. Blue reluctently gave Cain the Earth Badge.

Finnaly my last badge for Kanto. Now for Johto, but first Pallet town.

Then Cain found himself walking through route 1 on the way to Pallet town. The spring air smelled sweet with signs of Stantler and Pidgey on the road.

Ah to be a simple trainer again.

Cain finnaly made it to the gate of Pallet town. He was looking for one thing

    Professer Oak
    .

Cain made it to the shore of Pallet town. He did not know his way around Kanto Cities. He just knew that Pallet town had water. Cain always liked the sea. It calmed him after a battle. Always Cain released Blazken when doing this. Since it usualy calmed him as well after a rigourous battle or a fight between them. After an hour Cain walked away from the view and went down to Professer Oak's lab.

Here it is. Lets see if the world renowned professer has any infomation

    Name: AJ Kinova
    Sex: Male
    Age: 16
Description: AJ is a medium sized Hispanic teen, He's about Five Foot four and weighs around 130 something pounds. His eye's are a Cloudy blue and his teeth are nice and pearly, He is wearing an earing in his left ear and has a tattoo of the cross on his forehead. He wears Black leather pants and a black shirt with a white cross and the words 'Judgment Day' he wears black boots with iron soles. He wears a white trench coat with another cross on it, this times black. His hair is grayish white and styled in a ponytail.
AJ's body is pretty toned in muscle, he works out alot as a hobby making him pretty muscular and strong. He is the perfect subject for appeal because he has some good looks but is real modest about it and never gloats about his looks.

Personality: AJ has a fixed personality, he is serious and strict in a situation but will also have a sense of humor to lighten up all the tense moments. Averagely he is a layed back calm kinda of guy, real outgoing. AJ is real sensitive and Even if you get on his nerves he will be willing to help you but if you really Piss him off your going to regret it, big time. AJ sounds like your average everyday teen and doesn't care what anyone thinks, so he's never really depressed. So overall he's a layed back humorous yet strict and serious kind of guy, Don't get on his nerves and your fine and that concludes are little segment on his personality.

    Pokemon: Doesn't have any yet...
    Other: Nothin really...
    RP sample:

AJ sighed and rubbed his forehead, why did his sister have to show up everywhere and try to take his job? AJ started to walk away but he knew deep inside he needed to take care of this now, it seemed Claire had the same idea as he put his 50. Desert eagle magnum, more of a miniture cannon to her head and she did the same to him, " You know, a 50. calibur round has been reported to blow a man in half." AJ said with a wicked voice.

Claire had expected this and she put her Colt Python to his head as he did the same to her, " Whats your next move?" she asks. " I know you wouldn't pull that trigger on your dearest sister... while your head is in the same predictument." She said with a sly smirk.

(( Grim: Everything looks good, and I really like how you described your Blaziken. But... The only thing that I don't like about it is your RP Sample... So, *Pending*

Ash Jr.: The same goes for you. AJ's appearance tells me that he's a bad boy, but I wouldn't expect his personality. I like your character, but your RP Sample is a bit short... Also, would you mind describing why he doesn't have any Pokemon yet? *Pending*

EDIT: Something I missed in both of your profiles... I think you may want to read the rules again. ))

Name: Erin (Ireland or Clover) Moonnite

    Age: 15

    Gender: Female

Personality: Even though Ireland's real name is Erin, she still loves her nickname Ireland, and introduces herself under that name. Ireland still responds to Erin, but doesn't like it since many males have the same name, although spelled differently. Only the people who cared deeply about her call her Clover.

Ireland is a very kind female, although her appearence may through you off. She is independent and fun-loving, she loves to laugh and smile. She has a sarcastic sense of humor and laughs if someone's pain is selfinflicted. In some cases, if they don't harm themselves on purpose, she asks if they're okay first, and if they respond with a positive answer, then she'll laugh. Ireland hates being ignored, and more than anything, she hates being alone. It is on rare occastion she actually gets mad. Usually, she just gets upset. But, when she gets mad, expect yelling, if you keep pushing her, expect a black eye.

Ireland isn't a fan of girly things, like the color pink or something that has pokadots on it. Her favorite color is a forest green, and she strongly believes that a nice gray color goes nicely with it. But, Ireland is a sucker for innocence. Something like a Jigglypuff is a bit too much, but she'll adore a Clefairy. She also has an odd taste in Pokemon, liking the kind of rejected Pokemon, such as Ariados which is rarely trained.

Appearance: Ireland stands at a rather short 5' 2" for the size of her 11 1/2 Woman's sized shoe. She beleives she'll grow into them, but for now, they make great flippers. Ireland has short, dark brown hair that is often falling in her face, but, now, Ireland holds her short hair up in a short ponytail, and the shorter peices of hair are parted off and rest and the sides of her face. Ireland is a thin figure, slender and graceful, although her actions may not compliment that. But with that body comes the ability of flexibility and slyness. Ireland can defend herself and isn't afriad to. Piss her off, and you're in for a good fight.

Ireland's attire consists of her own style. Her clothes are mostly baggy and very comfortable, since her style is comfort over fashion. She often wears her favorite green t-shirt that has gray designs of it that look kind of like ivy. If the weather is colder, she'll put a gray, long sleeved shirt underneth. Ireland wears faded jeans that flare, and her gray sneakers that are quite worn. Her belt is also a nice color green and holds her Pokeballs.

    Pokemon:
    Species: Oddish; Lvl 18

    Nickname: Jingle

    Gender: Female

    Pokeball: Luxury Ball

Personality: Jingle was bred for becoming a Bellossom. It is said that once Oddish evolves into Gloom, the stinkier the Gloom, the more beautiful the flowers of a Bellossom is. And, already, Jingle smells pretty bad, like a normal Gloom would, so Ireland can't wait for her to evolve. Ireland was the first thing Jingle saw when she was hatched and is very much attached to her trainer.

    Species: Bayleef; Lvl 70

    Nickname: Razor

    Gender: Male

    Pokeball: Nest Ball

Personality: Razor is a very loving Pokemon, but, he can also be very jealous of any male with Ireland. Razor protects Ireland with his life. He has no desire to evolve into a Meganium, since he feels more dangerous with a razor sharp leaf. Razor was bred to battle, so his stats are very well balanced because of Ireland's constant monitoring.

    Species: Golduck; 68

    Nickname: Phin

    Gender: Male

    Pokeball: Net Ball

Personality: Phin is one of the very few Pokemon Ireland uses to both battles and contests. He is a very loyal Pokemon, although rather quiet most of the time. He can be sort of a womanizer towards female humans he think are attractive, and is usually sent back into his Net Ball for this behavoir towards other woman.

    Species: Shiny Vulpix; 62

    Nickname: Foxy

    Gender: Female

    Pokeball: Luxury Ball

Personality: Foxy was the first Shiny she has ever bred, and also one of her favorite Pokemon. Foxy acts very different when in battles than she does during contests. Right now, Ireland is trying to earn enough money to obtain a Fire Stone and evolve her Vulpix into the beautiful Ninetales she was born to be.

    Species: Altaria; 67

    Nickname: Cotton

    Gender: Female

    Pokeball: Dive Ball

Personality: Cotton was a very unexpected hatchling of Ireland's Salamence, who obviously went after his own type, Dragon. Since Salamence was just a big cuddly bear, she guessed he fell for an Altaria at the Daycare when he was suppose to go after a Flygon. But, Altaria turned out to be one tough battler as well as a master Contest Pokemon.

    Species: Metagross; 65

    Nickname: Mag

    Gender: ~

    Pokeball: Timer Ball

Personality: Mag was found at an abandoned warehouse, alone and adandoned like the warehouse she found him in. Although he is one of her strongest Pokemon, and likes to go into the Contests sometimes, she never found his pervious owner. Mag is also much smarter than your average Metagross.

Other: She slightly favors Grass Pokemon, only for their color. She believes that witl Select Breeding, any Pokemon can be bred to rise above the rest. She is a breeder, a Coordinator, and a Trainer.

    RP Sample:
Amber streched as she continued walking around the town, watching for anything unusual or against the law. Amber only really joined the Pokemon Police for some action, but so far there hadn't been any down her alley. She read about how the weird Mizumi had already stolen Mew and Kyogre. Kyogre was more recently stolen, but Amber couldn't do much since her team consisted of Fire Type Pokemon.

Flare walked at her right while Tiger padded along behind Amber, and Toto at Amber's left. Her Pokemon were rather protective of her. "I'd rather be working with Sugar..." Amber mumbled to herself quietly, picking Sugar's Pokeball off her belt to look at it as she continued on her way. Soon, she placed the Pokeball where it belonged and sighed, looking up towards the sky.

What kind of threat did the Mizumi pose? They already have two legendary Pokemon. Amber silently hoped that nothing horrible would happen to all of the other legendaries, already feeling bad for the Pokemon captured. She just wished they'd find the Muzumi Hide Out sooner. Amber wanted to be the first one in. Fearless and ruthless, the Muzumi deserved no mercy. Taking wild and free Pokemon from their natural habitats unwillingly was wrong. Besides, if they were as evil as they claimed, the condition of both legendaries may be critical. She could only pray for their safety.

    Name: Itari Yiska

    Age: 15

    Gender: Female

Personality: Though some people might think of her as a tough battler, rather crazy, fluffy creatures obsessed, and in need of a comfy home in a mental asylum, Itari is actually a pretty down-to-earth kind of person with a kind nature...sometimes. Mood and location have a lot to do with how she acts. If she is incredibly excited she most certainly won't act normal, whatever normal is, but will calm down if she has to. She can often be very random, switching from a conversation about battle techniques to wondering if the moon really is made of cheese. In battle is one of the few times she acts really serious and she's pretty tough in training her Pokemon, though she tries to never push them over their limit.

Appearance: Itari stands at about 5'5" in height with lightly tanned fair skin. Her hair is long and brown with darker brown highlights and her slightly slanted eyes are bright gold. Slim, fairly muscular, and full of energy, she's pretty much built like a runner. Her usual attire usually consists of a comfortable pair of faded jeans with a simple brown belt holding six Pokeballs, a green tank-top covered by a brown jacket with the outline of a leaf stitched on the back, and worn green running shoes. Slung over her back is a small backpack and around her neck is a round locket with a gem in the center and strange engravings around it.

    Other: poka-dot

RP Sample: Ruya didn't pay much attention to the activity slowly beginning in the streets. A few early morning workers were emerging on the streets. Had she been watching them, she might have noticed that a few of them looked anxious; she might also have noticed that there were quite a lot of early morning workers that day, far more than usual.

Her eyes remained fixed on the sky until a scream snapped her rudely back to reality. Ruya whirled around, her heart pounding from surprise, and dashed back inside the Pokemon Center, nearly colliding with the sliding doors as she went.

The usually calm and collected Nurse Joy was dashing towards the counter. Before Ruya could take another step, the red headed woman had seized the phone and punched in a number. Unable to think what could be panicking Nurse Joy so much, Ruya walked hesitantly forward, a look on concern on her face.

"Busy?!" The dull, annoying beeping that indicated a phone you were calling was currently in use emanated from the received in Nurse Joy's hand.

    "Nurse Joy, what's wrong?"

Frantic eyes locked on Ruya's face. The frightened nurse opened her mouth the answer then paused, a look of worry and uncertainty on her face. "Ruya..."

The sudden change from panic to soft comfort worried Ruya more than anything else. "What happened?" she asked in a sharper tone than she had used before.

Nurse Joy looked as if she didn't know how to say what had to be said. Finally she looked back at the young trainer and said quietly, "The Pokemon, the ones that were being looked after, are...are...gone."

A sick horror rose slowly in Ruya's chest. "Gone," she rasped, her throat suddenly very dry, "my Pokemon...are gone?"

    Pokemon
    Species: Chikorita
    Nickname: Catori
    Gender: Female
    Level: 69
    Pokeball: Pokeball
Personality: Catori is very similar in many ways to her trainer. She's perky, preppy, and just as insane while at the same time sharing a great love of battling. She works hard and has managed to become pretty strong. Being Itari's very first Pokemon, she shares a deep bond with her trainer and, although they fight a lot, hates to be separated from her for too long.

    Species: Yanma
    Nickname: Flit
    Gender: Male
    Level: 64
    Pokeball: Net Ball
Personality: Flit is enthusiastic about everything but can sometimes be naive. He works hard at what he does but can often get into trouble by rushing into situations. He's a tough battler, no mistake, but his determination to do great things often makes him leap before he looks and sometimes he doesn't listen to his trainer because he's moved before she can say a word. Still, he gets along great with Itari who often babies him.

    Species: Misdreavus
    Nickname: Ramla
    Gender: Female
    Level: 67
    Pokeball: Luxury Ball
Personality: Ramla isn't exactly self-centered, but she's pretty full of herself. Itari often jokes about how capturing Ramla in a Luxury Ball was a bad idea because it spoiled her, but really all it did was confirm her suspicions that she was to be treated like royalty. While not rude, she's actually kind especially to younger Pokemon, she is a bit snobbish. She often treats Flit like a child and tries to help him out during training.

    Species: Furret
    Nickname: Almos
    Gender: Male
    Level: 65
    Pokeball: Premium Ball
Personality: Almos is strong willed, fierce, and though. He's also a great big teddy bear. He's a very lovable little Pokemon who often acts as a pillow for his trainer. He always tries to act tough and cool around others and Itari bought him a pair of sunglasses as a kind of joke once. The joke didn't catch on and Almos wears them all the time.

    Species: Larvitar
    Nickname: Liridon (Liri)
    Gender: Male
    Level: 56
    Pokeball: Ultra Ball
Personality: Liri is the loner of the group. He's not very sociable and is often found off by himself thinking. He's very protective of his trainer and teammates and almost recklessly brave, but he's also very quiet and doesn't like to talk much. He's a mystery to Itari who is always trying to get him to open up more. He's treated with respect by the other Pokemon and he does likewise for them.

(( Alana: xD I love your character! Completely reminds me of some of my friends. Your RP Sample is wonderful, and I like what you have under Other. ^^ Completely, 100%, *Accepted!* ))

You said in your first post that if others haven't been accepted, you encourage others to try. If that's incorrect though, just ignore this post. >.>

Well, this is what happens when I type to fast. I'll make sure to edit anything that seems rushed. Sorry, that's me trying to get in. XD

    Name: Roger Maya

    Age: 15

    Gender: Male

Personality: Roger's personality can be summed up completely the wrong way. The only thing to indicate he was friendly would be if you were talking to him, face to face. Otherwise, you'd think he ate kids for breakfast. No, that's not Roger. Roger is a friendly guy going about on a journey all his own, and enjoying it, for the most part. He makes friends when he wants to, and he skips people around when he needs to. This contributes to the "eat kids for breakfast" thing. But, put notice that Roger doesn't mean to do this kind of thing; it's sometimes necessary for his journey to continue. To sum it up: he is someone who cares for his journey a lot more than any one person, and he can also turn it around every once in awhile to be a good friend.

Appearance: Normally, people would assume Roger would be in football, or some other hardcore muscle making sport for his big look. He's not fat, just big, therefore looks like he can definitely do well in football. Thing is, Roger doesn't like sports much. He likes Pokémon training, but nothing else. So, now he looks like a trainer that trains with his Pokémon. He has a short hair cut that is slowly growing longer. When he started his journey, he had a buzz cut. Roger had made a note to cut his hair once the journey was over, cause now his hair looked just like any other average male's hair style on a journey. Eventually though, that would change. He didn't like long hair much on guys.

    Pokemon:
    Species: Sandslash
Nickname: Sand (Roger's not the very creative)
    Gender: Male
    Level: 52
    Pokeball: Normal Pokeball
Personality: Roger liked his Sandslash a lot, mainly because his Sandslash was almost a complete reflection in personality as himself. When Roger captured Sand, Sand was a brute kind. He was a Sandshrew that was ready for a fight. The journey seemed to shape him up, and adding with Roger's personality, his personality changed too. He wasn't an exact of Roger in personality, but most of what Roger did was reflected through him. That's why Roger liked him; he felt he could relate, and Sand felt the same way back to Roger.

    Species: Pidgeot
    Nickname: Pidge
    Gender: Female
    Level: 50
    Pokeball: Normal Pokeball
Personality: When Pidge was a Pidgey, she was given to Roger. She was his starter Pokémon. It wasn't that he didn't make it to Professor Oak in time; it was just that he didn't want to take the normal route. He wanted to take the hard way all the time. He found it fun.

Other: He's almost done with his journey; once he's done in Kanto, he's heading for Johto, then to Hoenn, and lastly, the Sinnoh region. Then he can successfully go and cut his hair.

RP Sample: And thus, here I go again. I'm standing right in front of the Pokémon Center of Four Island, after so much back and forth action. I was given the Ticket, and on my way towards Vermillion. From there, I would travel to Viridian. From there, I would fight, defeat the GYM Leader, and be on my way to the Indigo Plateau. It was all going to go smoothly. What could go wrong?

"Sorry, I don't have much time to talk," I said, taking my bag from the counter. I ran from the center. I distinctly heard the Nurse Joy trying to get my attention, but I wasted too much time; I had to get going.

I ran along the boarding line, still seeing the ferry. I was going to make it; I knew it. And I was right.

I made it into the ship, tired and out of breath. I felt my Pokébelt, trying to see if I still had everything. In runs like that, I got used to forgetting a thing or two. That was why Nurse Joy was yelling for me; I wasn't sure if she was calling me or just trying to say something. Whatever it was, it couldn't possibly be important. The only thing that mattered was getting to the Indigo Plateau. Me, my Pokémon, my gear, and my entrance, the…

    Oh crap, my Badges!

The ship was already de-docking, but I didn't care. We weren't that far away from the wooden docking place anyways. I jumped from the ship to the boardwalk, backpack on my back and Pokémon in check. The ferry was at a slightly higher level than the wooden floor where I landed; I didn't think it would hurt much, but it did. My legs felt all wobbly and shaky when I landed. It freaking hurt.

"Why does this always happen to me," I whispered. Slowly, I rose to my feet, and at a much slower pace, ran towards the Pokémon Center.

    --

"Thanks," I said, all out of breath. I was given back my badges, but I felt completely useless now. I went to the seating area and just sat down. There went a couple of hundreds down the drain. Then I began to think. What if I…

I never wanted to try flying from one island to the other on Pidge. After some experience, I realized that Pidge does eventually get tired. What if she got tired while we were flying? It wasn't something I wanted to test out.

"Oh, come on," I said aloud. I pushed my fist against my bag, which I know found on my lap. And I heard a sudden stir of broken potions. "Why me?" I said aloud, again.

After regaining some strength, I walked outside, seeing the sun right above me. I was going to regret this; I knew it, but it was the only way.

I released Pidge, who seemed as happy as ever. She formed with that smile I always imagined for her. She was a happy bird, and greeted my as happy as she felt. It was a nice moment. She stopped when she saw my look.

I tried to smile, but ended up failing. Well, this was it.

"You uh…you think you can fly me to Vermillion?"

And thus went the travel. I never made it to Vermillion on the back of Pidge. Instead, she got tired, we found the ferry, landed, and I had a Dr. Pepper. And thus, here I go again.

Ah, looks like I'll have to be a guy. ^^; No problem!

    Name: Allen McDermott

    Age: 15 (and a half!)

    Gender: Male

Personality: Coming from a well-off family related to Professor Oak through his cousin's half-brother's father (and proud of it!), Allen has this sort of snooty, "I'm too good for any of these people, but I guess I could help the little people out" attitude. He comes off as a typical rich-boy and he doesn't really see that as a problem. He's always bragging, always playing things up in a manner that makes him look a cut above the rest. He can be quite insufferable, really. He's the kind of person who sends back food at a restaurant because it's a little too cold, or not tender enough. He thinks his way is the best way, and pouts when no one else wants to follow it. In fact, he does quite a lot of pouting in his daily life.

Then there's this other side to him that few get a chance to glimpse. The side that longs to have a normal family with parents that care about you. The side that wishes his own childhood would have been fun and useless. There's also a part of him that feels bad when he goes too far with his annoying self and makes someone sad or cry. He actually has quite a soft spot for crying that he tries his best to ignore.

Around girls, on the surface he seems like the same insufferable jerk; but really on the inside he's quite nervous and unsure. Growing up an only child with all male friends didn't leave much room for learning about how to deal with the fairer sex.

Around boys, he's his usual self, with an added bonus. This bonus comes in the form of initiating contests and races that he can't win. For as much talk and attitude Allen has, his skills are sorely lacking.

Appearance: Allen gained a lot of his looks from his father-- his icy blue eyes, his dark brown, almost black, hair, and his lightly tanned skin. However, he seemed to not inherit his father's build, and instead remains quite lean and skinny. He is happy that he has inherited his mother's smile though; it seems to give him a warm, innocent look.

Allen's favorite color is red, "the power color" as he likes to think of it. He usually wears some kind of red top to his outfit, be it a sweater, a dress shirt, something classy and semi-formal. For the bottom, he always wears a pair of black slacks with black dress shoes. To top off his clothing, he likes to wear a dark red cape-like cloak. It gives him a rather interesting look. He carries all of his supplies in a small, black backpack that is usually hidden by his cloak. He has a very expensive silver watch on his arm with which he'd rather die than part with. He usually keeps his pokeballs in his right pocket.

    Pokemon:

    Species: Quilava

    Nickname: Singe

    Gender: Female

    Pokeball:
    Premium Ball

    Level: 40

Personality: Singe was Allen's first pokemon, and boy did she have to prove herself. Allen had wanted a male Cyndaquil, but it was either Singe or waiting another three months, so he grudgingly took her. Singe was not about to be brushed aside though, and so she used her tough and powerful personality to win the boy over. She had a never say die attitude and loves a challenge.

    Species: Corphish

    Nickname: Clamp

    Gender: Male

    Pokeball: Lure Ball

    Level: 38

    Personality:
Clamp was Allen's second pokemon; one he hired someone to go fish for in a lake. Clamp is a rather clumsy pokemon, not always paying attention to what his large claws are doing. He can easily knock over a pile of dishes, a person, an important object, anything really. Allen and Singe have to watch him closely when he is out.

    Species: Mareep

    Nickname: Clara

    Gender: Female

    Pokeball:
    Luxury Ball

    Level: 25

Personality: While Clara is the one pokemon of Allen's that absolutely adores him, she is also the weakest of his team. She's quite whiny and dainty; a very girly girl. She doesn't like getting dirty, and will often dissolve into a puddle of tears when something happens involving dirt. Allen can't help but be swayed by the cute, teary eyes, or cater to the fluffy little creature. She often gets exactly what she wants, and is really the only one that can make Allen do what she wants.

    Other: Nothing! ^.^

    RP Sample:

"Hey there kid! Wanna battle?" came a voice from behind Allen.

A nerve twitched somewhere on his handsome face. Kid?! Obviously this person behind him did not know what he was getting himself into, because no one called Allen McDermott a kid. The dark-haired boy turned slowly to face his challenger, a small boy with a backwards-turned cap and an outfit that clearly said 'young, inexperienced, bug-boy'. Allen chuckled a little.

"Oh please," he said with a slight sneer on his otherwise warm smile, "You're surely not worth my time." Which, he wasn't.

The little boy glared at him a bit. "I could beat you pretty boy! Gimme your worstest stuff!" he said confidently.

"Worstest?" Allen said with a wider smile, making it look more like a mocking smile, "Oh, I will." With that he flicked his right hand out of his pocket and with a flick of the wrist, called forth his first pokemon; a Quilava. Allen would teach this child some respect. After all, the boy was so pathetic that he couldn't even use proper grammar.

Singe stood ready to battle; after all, it was usually the only thing she was brought out for. She could see the look on the kid's face before her go from confident to nervous to worried all in about ten seconds. It was obvious from his look that he had no pokemon that could combat a fire-type. How stupid, not to have any balance on one's team. This was crucial to a pokemon trainer if they wanted to win.

Allen took this moment to continue impressing the boy before him. "This is my Quilava, Singe. Did you know that she was specially bred to withstand physical attacks by one of the world's top pokemon breeders? She's won almost two hundred battles against people such as yourself, and she has no problem ripping apart a weak little Caterpie's defenses," he said slowly, smiling wider.

"I-I gotta go!" the little boy said quickly, his eyes still on Singe as he backed away and left. Allen nodded to Singe, who seemed disappointed with the fact that her challenge was once again scared off, and then returned her to her ball.

"Heh, kid... Allen McDermott; a kid! Ha ha, that's great," he chuckled to himself, walking off in the direction he had been facing before.

Light_Azumarill: I was reading these profiles to my friend because... I dunno... Anyway, she fell in love with your character. xD Other than that, I believe he'll make a great addition to this RP. Just... Watch out for Ireland, he might get his clothes dirty... *Accepted!*

Grim and Ash Jr.: I'm sorry to tell you two, but, I've decided to accept the other two characters that signed up. Sorry, again. Your profiles were very nice, so, keep up the good work! *Declined* ))

That makes four, yayness! ^_^ Three girls, one playing a guy, and one guy, playing a guy. *worries about Allen's safety* Chances are Itari will be the one hitting Allen for annoying her. :P

(( Something tells me Ireland and Itari will be great friends... I've already got an idea in store! Hopefully Allen won't die... KIDDING, JUST KIDDING!... Or... Am I? xP

Anywho, I shall begin the RP with this post! =o I'm setting something up so all the traniers will flock here and meet during this. ^^ ))

"So, we're finally here!" Ireland announced proudly, walking into the city of Lilycove. "Bay!" Razor cried cheerfully. "Odd!" Jingly cried, also, bouncing on Razor's back. Ireland chuckled slightly at her Pokemon, continuing her stroll. "Why don't we go check out the Contest Hall? Or should we head for the Store? I heard they built a new grooming place. Or maybe we can go back on the route, I saw some trainers there... I know I don't have enough for a Fire Stone, so we can go get some big bucks in battles..." Ireland suggested.

"Bayleef!" Razor said, wanting to go battle. "Odd..." Jingle suggested, looking over at the Contest Hall. "GOLD!" Phin popped out of his Net Ball and was rushing after a blonde female wearing a rather short skirt. "PHIIIN!" Ireland yelled at her perverted Golduck, causing Phin to flinch and stop in his tracks. Ireland shook her head and pointed down at the ground before her. "Come here... Now." She demanded. Slowly and reluctantly, the Golduck obeyed, his head hanging as he returned to his trainer. Ireland sighed, "You can look, I don't care, just don't run off. You know I hate that." She told her Pokemon, who folded his arms with unhappiness.

"Oh, I know, you're so abused!" Ireland said sarcastically, patting his head with a light chuckle. "Itsthenightoftheyearfolks! Don'tmisstheHUGEtournamentgoingonintheContestHall! PokemonTrainerswilltakethestageinsteadofCoordinatorsinthetouramentoftheyeeeeeaaaarrrrrr!!" A boy throwing flyers around yelled loudly. Ireland couldn't understand a word he said, but she hopped up to catch the flyer.

    'Lilycove Tournament!

Held in the Contest Hall, trainers from all over are after the grand prize! A full collection of Evolutionary Stones, and a 280,000 dollar prize!!

So, come to the Contest Hall before five o' clock, Sunday night to sign up! The Tournament begins on Monday, 9:00 AM sharp!'

"A complete collection of Evolutionary Stones?" Ireland asked herself. "This is perfect! Not only with I be able to have a full set of Evolutionary Stones, but I can buy other sets whenever I want with that money!"

    OOC: Lol.

IC: 'But it's messing up my hair!' Ramla complained in a high voice, staring down at the flier Itari was holding. It was an advertisement for a huge Pokemon contest with a seriously good haul of prizes.

"You don't have any hair," her brown haired trainer said in an exasperated voice.

'I do too. Look,' the ghost type swished her 'hair' around and blinked in a cutesy sort of way.

Itari rolled her eyes, a gesture imitated at almost the exact same time by the grass type perched on her head. 'Honestly, Ramla, if you were any more full of yourself you'd explode.'

'I beg your pardon,' said the ghost Pokemon in a highly offended tone, 'I am not, and have never been, full of myself. Everything I ask for, say, or comment on is of the greatest importance.'

Itari shook her head, causing Catori wobble on her perch, then held up the flier for Ramla to look at again. "Come on, Ramla, look at the prizes. A complete set of evolutionary stones and enough money to take us from here to Shinnoh on a luxury cruise liner with plenty of spending money."

The idea of a luxury cruise seemed to be of great appeal to Ramla. She turned her head to the sky and let out a dramatic sigh. 'Aw, a cruise across the great blue sea, being waited on hand and foot by devoted servants basking in my presence. Perhaps I shall help you in this contest. After all, I am the only one with enough glamor and skill to be victorious in such a competition.'

"Well, actually," said Itari, an innocent grin on her face, "I had planned to have both you and Almos enter. I would have Catori enter as well, but I'm not sure what the limit is."

Ramla's expression turned instantly from dreamy to annoyed to extremely hurt. 'Well, if I'm not good enough in your eyes to enter solo, then I don't think I will.'

Her trainer chuckled softly. She knew that Ramla wouldn't allow her to keep her out of the contest now that the idea had been suggested.

    OOC: Yep, I knew poor Allen was doomed from the moment he was made up. XD At least he has his pokemon for comfort! ^^;

    So, yay we're starting!

In a fairly dense area of the city of Lilycove walked a young boy, a trainer by the looks of him, and a Quilava. They passed tiny shops and stores to which the boy didn't seem to pay attention, his icy blue eyes fixed on the horizon, his hands gesturing as he spoke fervently to the pokemon at his side.

"As I was saying, the restaurants here in Lilycove had better be better than the ones from the last city we were at," said the boy as he continued to walk, "They called that food?! I've seen tastier meals at small-town cafes. No, no, I mean it! Small-town cafes!"

The Quilava at the boy's side rolled her eyes a little. She doubted the boy had ever eaten anything from a cafe, let alone set foot inside one. As the boy continued to drone on about poor food service, it became apparent how nervous the sleek fire pokemon looked. She was primarily used for battling, but lately Allen had been bringing her out for no apparent reason other than to... talk. It wasn't like him to just talk like this to her, and so she was quite unnerved by it. What did he expect of her? Perhaps the boy was just homesick, or lonely, or... oh what did she know about humans?!

"Allen McDermott will not settle for a mere sandwich and bag of chips," he said, making the meal sound as if it were a bag of garbage, "Not in a million years. My father didn't settle when he was traveling as a young man, and neither will I! I will--!"

But exactly what Allen would do was cut off by a flying piece of paper that had smacked itself right into the boy's face. He pulled it off quickly, glancing around to make sure no one had witnessed this atrocious mistake of allowing a flyer to touch him without permission. The Quilava stretched up a bit, in hopes of seeing what it was all about.

"Here Singe, it says, 'Lilycove Tournament!," he said, glancing for a moment at his pokemon, "'Held in the Contest Hall, trainers from all over are after the grand prize. A full collection of Evolutionary Stones, and a 280,000 dollar prize.'" He paused again, frowning at his pokemon now.

"Oh yes, that's what I need," he said in a sarcastic tone, "More money, and mere pocket-change at that! Or evolutionary stones! Yes, like I couldn't just buy those. No, this doesn't interest me at all." He looked down at Singe, who appeared to be rather disappointed at this sudden development, and suddenly an idea dawned on him.

He grinned widely, though it was his typical mocking grin, "Or... wouldn't it be hilarious to show up to this, this tournament, wipe the floor with the little beginning trainers and then proclaim how I never wanted the prizes in the first place?!" He seemed quite excited at this prospect.

Singe raised an eyebrow as if to say: what if you loose? Allen picked up on this, and shook his head slowly.

"My dear Singe, I won't loose; I'm a McDermott! Besides, it will at least be some kind of battling, and you know how I love that sort of thing," he said to the Quilava, looking pleased with himself, "Yes, let's go! It says here it starts 9:00 AM sharp, Monday morning."

This actually perked the pokemon up a bit, knowing that she would be battling soon. It was what she felt most comfortable doing, and so she looked forward to this tournament.

"Yes, I think I'll like Lilycove, Singe," Allen said, still wearing his grin.

"Come on! Let's get to that Contest Hall!" Ireland declared. "Odd!" Jingle replied, taking a leap to land on Ireland's head. "Bay, Bay!!" Razor cried, jumping up onto his two back legs. "Duck!" Phin cried with excitement, throwing his fist in the air.

Razor nudged Ireland in the direction of the Contest Hall. This caused Jingle to lose balance and fall from Ireland's head, but Ireland twirled around and caught the Oddish mid-air before Razor nudged her again. Now Ireland was the one almost losing her balance. She placed her foot on the ground and caught herself, grinning since that was actually kind of fun.

Ireland laughed with her Pokemon and turned to rush off towards the Contest Hall, holding Jingle in her arms. She took one step forward and almost stepped on a Quilava, losing her balance again but extended her arm to stop herself and ended up catching herself on what appeared to be the Quilava's trainer.

Ireland tilted back onto her feet and smiled nervously. "Terribly sorry! Totally my bad!" Ireland said to the trainer before turning towards the Quilava. "I'm so sorry, I'm kind of clumsy like that." Ireland explained. "Uhm, well, we must be going!" Ireland said, kind of wanting to get away and off towards the Contest Hall.

She took a few steps forward before looking over her shoulder to see Phin right behind her, but Razor busy glaring up at the Trainer with gritted teeth, angered that he had gotten too close to Ireland. But, his glare soon ended and he was trotting after Ireland once more.

OOC: I guess I'm going to Hoenn. Hope the reason in this post is a good enough one. >_>

    --

In Vermillion, I left the ferry and headed straight for the Pokémon Center. There was nothing really I had to do there, but after having Pidge fly me for the short time she had, I decided to give her a break. Afterwards, I'd head to Viridian, and hopefully beat the GYM leader. I was ready for it.

For the meantime, I sat down in the seating area of the Pokémon Center, and decided to take a rest. Rests were needed on my journey; I found that out very quickly as I had first gone from Pewter to Cerulean, then passed Saffron to here, and so on and so forth. It was all very exhausting, and I found that if I didn't get enough rests between, I could just faint. It has happened before and I didn't want it to ever happen to me.

A minute turned to five minutes, which eventually turned to half an hour. By then, I was lying on the seats, getting a very comfortable position, and about to go to sleep. If anyone that worked there caught me like that, they'd probably kick me out or force me to buy a room. I didn't want that, but I just couldn't be bothered to move. Slowly, my eyes closed, and I was just about to drift off to my own little world.

But then my Pokénav began to ring, forcing me up. I didn't stir much; just reached down to my bag and pulled out the small device. I placed it on my ear, and answered. I could easily tell by the type of ring tone whether it was a call or an alarm.

    "Hello," I called sleepily.

No one was answering. I called out to the sender again, but there still wasn't an answer. Instead of trying to answer back, I ended the call and placed the Pokénav in my pockets. I would've wanted to check who had called by just looking at the call logs, but I also wanted to rest a bit.

The later didn't happen though; someone shook me awake. I looked at the person and caught her ID tag on the shirt. She worked there. Uh oh.

"Oh, I was just closing my eyes for a bit," I said, yawning.

    "You have a call."

It was so sudden. I brushed the sleep away from my eyes and sat up completely. "Call? What do you mean?" I asked, slightly confused. Really, I just wanted to go back to sleep. That wasn't something I was going to do, considering she was watching me.

"You have a phone call, at the front desk."

    "Really?"

"Yes, really. It's from a Mrs. Maya."

Oh, my Mom. That was easy to tell, firstly being that I didn't have a sister, therefore I wouldn't receive calls from another girl Maya, and secondly, even if I had a sister, she wouldn't call me. Not even my brother calls me.

    "Alright, I'm coming," I said.

I stood and followed the girl to the front desk, where she left me with the phone. I looked sleepy as ever. Most likely because I never ever got sleep, and this time I had done something that needed most of my strength. I had run, jumped…and run again. Well, it didn't seem like much, but it was enough to tire me out.

"Hi Mom," I said through the phone.

"Roger, I…" there was a sort of long pause. I listened clearly, hoping that the call hadn't been dropped or anything. She didn't say anything for a long while, so I decided to say something. It was at the second I began with my first word to her that she continued; "your fathers dead!"

Did I just hear that right? Wait, what?

"Huh?" I asked, shaking away all the sleep I had. This had to be some kind of joke or something. There was no way that my Dad could've…died. Things like that just didn't happen to me; heck, even my grandpa and grandma were still alive! Dad, dead? How can that even happen? I decided to ask, except there was a slight quiver in my voice. "How?"

"I—I don't really know…he was just doing what he always did—every morning. I—I don't really know, he was driving to work; I was talking to him—and then he just cut off, and nothing else! He died around 9:00 in the morning!"

I felt her emotion in the voice. Now, there was no doubt. My Mom wasn't cruel enough to make me believe my Dad was dead, and even if she was, she was never really good at tricking people. There was always that tint in her voice that gave it away. It wasn't there this time. What she was saying was true; my Dad was dead.

    --

I punched the Pokémon Center wall. It hurt like hell, but I didn't care. Apparently, they found my Dad dead in his car. His car was a mess, tangled in a blaze. If it was an accident, there was no one to confirm it. There was no gas pump near by and there was no indication of a collision with cars. It was as if his car had just caught on fire. Things like that didn't happen.

What my mom was asking of me wasn't much. She asked for me to come to Lilycove; the birth place of my father. That's where they were going to bury him; with the rest of his family. Of course, they weren't going to bury him the second his body got there; according to Mom, she had reserved a funeral home there. They were to bury my Dad three days from now.

I found this right, and knew that I had to be there. He was my father. This meant that I had to drop everything for a moment and go to Hoenn.

Now, I was ready to take a cruise to Hoenn. I'd do anything for my father now; I don't even remember what the last thing I ever said to him was! What was the last conversation? I just couldn't think of it.

Whatever it was, I was going to respect my Dad for what he had taught me up to this point. I owed him that much. Dying in Kanto and buried in Hoenn. I began to wonder if that's how I would end up. My will should state to be buried next to my father. That would make me feel better.

It would take two more hours until the cruise departed. The ship was leaving at 3:00.

Seeing as I had a little bit of time to myself, I decided to spend it playing a little bit of Snake on my Pokénav. It was something to get my mind on.

Before I could reach the game section though, I noticed the call logs. I remembered the miss call earlier. It was probably my Mom trying to get a hold of me. Either way, I decided to check it.

Apparently, there were no missed calls. That was probably because I had answered the call. I understood that much, so that meant that the call was in the incoming section. I checked there, and read who under his contact names had called and when this person had called. It read:

DAD: 11:23 AM, then the date.

Oh, well wasn't that a big heart thumper? It must've been, considering I fainting the moment I read that, unsure of whether I read that wrong or right.

(( I like that reason, actually. Its creative, and that's what we need, ))

    Allen
    ==========

"You know," Allen continued to say, Singe still at his side, "I do hope they actually have a few challenging people at this tournament. It gets quite boring wiping the floor too easily." He sighed, as if such a task really was far too boring.

Singe shook her head again, not knowing what to think. It really had been a while since he had just talked to her like this. She still wasn't sure she liked it the same as she used to. While these thoughts went through her head, she heard some determined cheering nearby. Looking over she saw a girl, some other trainer, with her pokemon all acting quite excited. The Quilava briefly wondered how it was to have such an open, fun-loving trainer.

"What is it Singe?" Allen's voice cut through the Quilava's thoughts, "Am I... boring you?" The last part was said a bit tensely, as if he was suspicious that it were true. Singe shook her head.

"Good," continued Allen, taking her response as truth, "As I was saying, that fight with that child a while ago was hilarious! I mean all that needed to be done was to show him my awesome power and strength and he bolted like a Growlithe, tail between his legs!"

Singe rolled her eyes again, Allen sure was playing that situation up as usual; the boy had just been scared off by the fact that he was facing a fire type.

"I mean did you see his face?!" Allen continued, chuckling to himself.

Singe was about to make a disapproving growl, when the cheering trainer from before appeared to be steeping on her! She reeled back, but there really was no need to considering the girl had caught herself it seemed; caught herself on Allen.

Now Allen was not one to get so carried away with congratulating himself that he didn't notice when a girl was about to step on his pokemon, but this time was one of the exceptions. He noticed it a second before it happened, but as most people are, he was powerless to stop it from happening. It was like a whirl of green, gray, and dark brown had toppled toward him. All a slightly nervous Allen could manage to blurt out was a bumbling, "W-what the?"

The girl righted herself quickly though, apologized, and then took off again, leaving Allen staring dumbly for a few moments. He looked down at his arm where she had touched him, wondering if she had left any dirt behind. Then he looked up and noticed her Bayleef staring at him in a rather unfriendly way before leaving to follow its trainer.

He called after them, "Watch where you're going, peasant!" Yes, that sounded more confident than the 'w-what the?' he had blurted out earlier. Hopefully she had been too shocked by the situation to have heard him properly. He looked down at Singe, who was giving him an odd look.

"What?!" he asked, still bothered by that girl, and now even more bothered by his pokemon.

Singe gave a look that she reseved for making fun of swooning, blushing girls from back in the days when Allen used to bring her out more often. Even through all the years, Allen still remembered the meaning of it, and knew that this time she wasn't talking about the girl. He frowned.

"Shut up," he said gruffly, his cheeks tinged pink now, "I'm just not used to girls falling on me; that's all! She wasn't dressed nicely anyway, I mean who honestly wears the color gray? And don't even get me started on those jeans!" And with that he began to sink back into complaining about proper dress as he followed the girl's path towards the contest hall.

'Am too,' said Ramla primly, tossing her head in a dignified sort of way.

'Are not,' Catori retorted, tossing her head in a mimicking fashion.

'Am too,' the ghost type repeated, batting her eyelids.

    'Not.'

    'Too.'

    'Not.'

    'Too.'

Itari sighed, shaking her head. She long since forgotten what the argument was about. Something do with Ramla being the most beautiful Pokemon on the planet.

The two Pokemon continued with their "Not, too" game while their trainer examined the contest hall. It hadn't been hard to find. It was a grand building, red in color with a decorative ribbon over the entrance. "Very nice," she said quietly, looking it up and down. This movement caused Catori's voice to increase and decrease in volume but she plowed on with her conversation.

'You sound drunk,' Ramla commented scornfully.

'How would you know what I sound like drunk? I've never been a drunk a day in my life.'

'You have too. Remember when you were training and breathed in your own Sweet Scent?'

    'I never did that!'

    'Did too.'

    'Did not.'

"Oh brother." Again, Itari shook her head, heading towards the entrance of the large red building. She paused to watch a brief encounter between a girl with an Oddish and Bayleaf and a boy with a Quilava. The girl was moving too fast and ended up tripping over the fire type, grabbing hold of the boy, righting herself, muttering an apology, then dashing off. The boy looked quite surprised, but recovered himself enough to call the girl a peasent.

"I hate people like that," the brown haired girl muttered irritably, watching the boy head towards the contest hall after the girl, muttering to his Quilava. "So full of themselves."

'Like Ramla, you mean?' asked Catori cheerfully.

    "Yes," Itari replied, grinning.

'Well!' Ramla said haughtily, turning her nose up at them both as they followed the dark haired boy into the contest hall.

(( The maximum of Pokemon in your party for this Contest is... Uhm.... Six. ))

Ireland continued on her merry way until she heard a shout call after her. "Watch where you're going, peasant!" This caused her to turn to see the boy she ran intoj ust a second ago, before he continued ranting to his poor Pokemon, who didn't seem to like that too much. But, Ireland walked up to him to listen, since he was obviously too full of himself to notice her presence.

"I'm just not used to girls falling on me; that's all! She wasn't dressed nicely anyway, I mean who honestly wears the color gray? And don't even get me started on those jeans!" He continued, and this made Ireland not too happy. "I wear gray, honestly! And what about my jeans? Not everyone wants to dress like they're headed to a wedding, Mister Fancy Pants." Ireland contorted, defending herself.

"I don't care who you think you are, but I am no 'peasant' of yours! I may be in a lower class money wise, but money isn't everything!" She spat at him. Ireland looks down, noticing the flyer in his hands. "I suppose you're going to enter the Tournament, then? Ha. I'll see you there, prissy." And with that, Ireland stalked away, offering one final glare at him before jogging off with her Pokemon.

Jingle didn't look too happy about what had just happened, but Razor seemed quite proud, bearing a huge grin on his face. Phin didn't really pay any attention since he was too busy looking at all the human females, being a pervert like always. "I'll show that sleeze ball what a Pokemon Battle is all about... Right, Razor?" She asked, trying to get some encouragement. "Bayleef!" Razor agreed before they all entered the crowded Contest Hall.

Ireland walked up to the sign-ups and scribbled her signature on the line. "Thank you! We'll see you tomorrow, then!" The lady behind the counter told her. Ireland smiled weakly, "I'd bet my life on it." She replied before walking out of the Hall. "Looks like we're headed to the beach to train. Perhaps I can fish out something worth battling..."
