Hi everyone,
I'm knew to this community, patching etc so please have some patience, thank you.
Basically, I've seen walk-throughs of people playing Pokemon Adventure: Red Chapter (Fire Red hack) and wanted to give it a go. My aim is just to play this game through whatever methods work.
I download a UPS file of the Beta 11E version of the hack and a GBA file of Fire Red to play on the VisualBoyAdvance emulator. The file name states that the GBA file is cleaned and the original GBA file runs fine.
When I open the Tsukuyomi UPS patcher and try to apply UPS file to the GBA file it says "Failed! Input checksum is invalid."
I read that this can be solved by creating a new UPS file (Create a new patch with the GBA file as the original file and the UPS file as the modified file) and then applying the new/created UPS file to the GBA file. That gave me this message:
"Patch applied successfully.
Replacing output file with temporary file ...
Success!"
Now when I try and open the GBA file it says the program isn't compatible with certain visual elements of Windows and the emulator just has a white screen. A copy of the original GBA file still opens and works fine but not the new one.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
If I'm writing in the wrong section of the forum please let me know. I just want to play this game to take a break from uni work and have spent 3 hours trying to do so just running into dead ends.
Thank you!
