4th Gen Notched-Ear Pichu information (how to recieve)

    Like Pokémon Platinum, HeartGold & SoulSilver has got special details implemented within the game if you send certain Pokémon over.. In Platinum, this allowed for new forms and capture of certain Pokémon. However, Pokémon HeartGold & SoulSilver has got a slightly different take on this.

    If you send over the special Pikachu coloured Pichu obtained from the 12th movie event given away June 19th to July 18th, a special event will activate. This event takes place in Ilex Forest. When you go to Celebi's shrine in Ilex Forest with the Pikachu Coloured Pichu in your party, a Notched-Ear Pichu will appear.



    With the Pikachu Coloured Pichu and the Notched-Ear Pichu in Ilex Forest, the Notched-Ear Pichu shall then join your party. This Pichu is completely unique and you will be unable to get it by other means. However, there are a variety of new details about it. The Notched-Ear Pichu will always be Female and appears to be given to you at Level 30. It has many attacks that Pichu would not normally know. The details are as followed...

    However, there are a few drawbacks. First, the Pichu cannot evolve into Pikachu on to Raichu. It also may NOT be traded to another game.

    It's great, it doesn't matter about the drawbacks, it's just that it's from an event for a certain game, and the Notch-Ear Pichu can't evolve into Pikachu because it's impossible for Pikachu to have a Notched-Ear.
     
    I think them putting this into the game was really nice.

    I like how they're incorporating all these events to unlock things in HH and SS.

    It means that there's going to be TONS to do in the game, which is what I'll like about it, since I think the pokemon games are too short.

    I agree. This game will have more events that Platinum ever did. This might be the last game of Pokémon (depending on if they make a new region with new characters.
     
    I honestly hope this isn't the last of the pokemon games.

    I'm really looking forward to a R/S/E remake. Since Hoenn was my favorite region.

    And I don't really think it will be last of the games, since Pokemon is still doing fairly well.
     
    i wish the pichu could evolve into a pikachu with its hair spike slightly (like richie's pikachu)
     
    That'd be nice for them to incorporate into the game.

    Sadly I don't think they want to go through the work of adding that to Pikachu's and Raichu's.
     
    i hope someone finds a way to copy in hg and ss ya know? if they did it in emerald they can do it again!!!
     
    Actually, Pokemon D/P/Pt has a cloning glitch that requires Wi-Fi. You can clone that event Pichu over and over and then trade one to HGSS. Then you can trade more again.

    Yeah, but that doesn't mean you'll get Notched-ear Pichu.
    It will already be added to the Pokedex so it probably won't appear again. Just like when you catch Suicune/Raikou/Entei, you don't get to catch another one without a cheat.

    Since the Pikachu Colored Pichu has a special ribbon only event pokemon have,

    You can't put it in the GTS because of the ribbon.
     
    What if you use any old Shiny Pichu? I really do not think Game Freak is skilled enough in coding to make the game realized if it is from the 12th movie or not.
     
    True, since you could use any kind of Shaymin to activate the Gracidea Flower.

    But I'm hoping only the Pikachu Colored Pichu will activate the event.

    I'm sure they are actually. if they can make a game where it gives a special message as to how the pichu was recieved, and seeing as this Pichu has several coding differences as a normal shiny pichu(I believe so at least, it has the event ball and ribbon so*shrugs*) I'm sure they can make it realize this is a 'shokotan' Pichu.

    Then it can be cloned via Action Replay.

    I hope they make a wi~fi event for Notched Ear Pichu, like what they did with Darkrai and Rotom. I wish there was some other way to get it (by that I mean a regular shiny Pichu from the Trophy Garden)

    Hey, everyone, if you did not get your Gamestop Pikachu-colored Pichu, then you can get through Wi-fi.
    You only have 3 days left, however, as the event ends on March 25th, 2010.
    Also, I got my Shiny pichu on March 18th, 2010(I think).
