Well, here's my team which concentrates mainly on full-out offense and typing lures, resistance and immunities... I'm not sure about how great the team is now (since I can't use WiFi currently), but please comment and criticize about required improvements.
Here's the outline of my team:
*image removed**image removed**image removed**image removed**image removed**image removed*
Suicide Lead / SR setter: Azelf
Revenge Killer: Heatran (w/ Choice Scarf) + Gengar (if opponent's slow enough)
Physical Sweeper: Metagross + Tyranitar
Special Sweeper: Heatran (w/Choice Specs) + Gengar
Mixed Sweeper: Salamence
Statistics:
Azelf @ Focus Sash
Nature: Naive
Ability: Levitate
EV: 4 Attack / 252 Sp.Attack / 252 Speed
-Stealth Rock
-Taunt / Thunder Wave
-Psychic
-Explosion
Standard Smogon-style Azelf that I've been using - it's pretty effective on almost about every match for me, except when Spiritomb comes and I get killed after setting the Stealth Rocks up, etc. I love how Azelf is fast and everything, so I am trying to use its frailty to an advantage by setting the rocks as fast as I can while preventing others from doing the same, at the cost of losing a speedy Pokemon which I also need dearly. However, resistance is one of the key points of this team, and pure Psychic isn't one for me, especially with the frailty that Azelf has.
Edit: Just found out since many of the Pokemon in this team are rather slow - how about replacing Taunt to Thunder Wave for Azelf instead? So that the slower sweepers can attack without much of speed problem. (although Azelf's frailty seems a little unreliable)
Heatran @ Choice Specs or Choice Scarf
Nature: Modest
Ability: Flash Fire
EV: 4 HP / 252 Sp. Attack / 252 Speed
-Fire Blast
-Dragon Pulse
-Earth Power
-HP Grass
One of the most hardest Pokemon to find in the team (I have a crappy luck with Hidden Powers T_T). Anyways, Fire Blast that's coming from a sexy 130 base S.A denting anything unresistant (possibly with a Flash Fire boost as well), Dragon Pulse giving a great coverage, Earth Power destroying many others and HP Grass to send bulky waters to oblivion, easily one of my favourite Pokemon of 4th Generation. The problem is this; should I go for Scarf for some heavy RK and making up some of the lack of the speedy sweepers, or Specs to OHKO or 2HKO anything? I'm leaning more towards the Scarf part, but if you have any suggestions - please do so.
Metagross @ Choice Band
Nature: Adamant
Ability: Clear Body
EV: 252 HP / 252 Attack / 4 Defense
-Explosion
-Pursuit / Ice Punch / Thunderpunch
-Earthquake
-Meteor Mash
The hardest Pokemon to choose moveset for (darn you 4 Move Syndrome...) - Not on the first 2, but the last 2. I have no idea which one to choose, but I currently have Explosion & Thunderpunch (just to dent Skarmory and Gyarados in some way w/o dying). The problem with Explosion is that I already lose an Azelf, which is pretty fragile anyways, but losing that Sheer Power is the big temptation here. The pseudo-boltbeam combo looks alright as well for coverage, so please recommend as soon as possible :X
Salamence @ Life Orb
Nature: Mild Nature
Ability: Intimidate
EV: 80 Attack / 252 Sp.Attack / 176 Speed
-Draco Meteor
-Earthquake
-Stone Edge
-Fire Blast
One of the main wall-crusher of the team, using the exact EV of the Classic Mixmence (just because I really suck at EV distribution). I also had the similar dilemma (although not as much with salamence, to use Outrage and get locked in 2~3 turns straight with only Steels / Ice Sharders / anything bulky w/ Ice Beam). However, I've chose Draco Meteor, because of the Hit&Run + Typing Lure tactic that I'm using for this team + losing Salamence because of an Ice Beam during Outrage would make most of the team from being killed by Water types. Fire Blast is to dent the hell out of Skarmory and Bronzong, with Earthquake and Stone Edge for decent coverage.
Gengar @ Choice Specs or Choice Scarf
Nature: Modest / Timid
Ability: Levitate
EV: 4 HP / 252 Sp. Attack / 252 Speed (for both)
-Shadow Ball
-Focus Blast
-Thunderbolt
-HP Ice
I've made 2 gengars, both in the similar IV as possible (I think) in S.A and Speed with same EV for an addition of a Revenge Killer or Special Sweeper. I love its blinding speed and a sexy 130 base Special Attack, although the depressing HP and defenses are depressing. anyways, I've made the Ghost/Fighting combination + boltbeam combo, to eat as many different variety of pokemon as possible which is both great for RK or SS. Please choose basing on my team if the Gengar should be a Sweeper or a Revenge Killer :O
Tyranitar @ Leftovers
Nature: Adamant
Ability: Sandstream
EV: 4 HP / 252 Attack / 252 Speed
-Stone Edge
-Earthquake
-Crunch / Pursuit
-Aqua Tail / Fire Punch
The reason I've chose Leftovers instead of a Choice item is because over half my Pokemon already has them + it's a great item overall with Tyranitar's already great bulk with Sandstorm support. I WOULD have got Garchomp and abuse Sand Veil if it only wasn't moved to the Uber Tier... I currently have Pursuit with this Tyranitar, because most people most switch since Tyranitar is going to one of the laster sweeper, where the opponent Psychic types may start thinking me switching often may give them a free switch etc. Stone Edge is for STAB and Earthquake and Aqua Tail for great type coverage.
As you would have noticed, the only "non-attacking" moves are all to Azelf, even then, he only has Taunt and Stealth Rock as the non-attacks. Anyhow, here's the "problems"
.Fails with Paralysis and Sleep (sometimes Substitutes)
.Hates most status aliments (not much for poison though)
.Misprediction = GG, I'm pretty much a goner
.Not very effective to opponents who have a good sense of prediction and type coverage
.Suffers from having an average, or below average speed (mostly)
.Lacking a great counter for fast fighting types (a.k.a Heracross Infernape and Lucario)
.And many more things
Currently some Pokemons that I have ready in mind is Togekiss, Latias, Lucario and Zapdos. So please recommend me a Pokemon and a Pokemon to switch with if required :X
Edit2: Added Zapdos as a consideration as well.
