Oh why did I say I liked Swiss cheese in 10th grade??

What is something trivial or silly that you regret but you still regret it anyways?

Like for example I regret saying my favorite cheese was Swiss in 10th grade when I meant to say cheddar or Colby jack. So like sophomore year I had a communications class and every class we had a question of the day and it was always something like "whats your current favorite movie" or whatever and one day it was "what's your favorite type of cheese?" And they got to me and I really didn't know so I blurted out Swiss and everyone was like like "seriously??? how??? why??" like being judgmental for saying I loved Swiss. Really I like cheddar or Colby jack more. So for like 10 years I've been like "why did I say I liked Swiss in communications class" lol

in 7th grade this very tiny new girl was always following these two girls in my grade that were like. popular, but more like alternative popular not like preppy popular? and it was really obnoxious that she was constantly following them and trying way too hard to be their friend and one day she was literally following them and i said "you can't just keep trading after them" really loudly. i meant to say trailing. jesus. lmao

When I was younger, before my family moved, there was this neighborhood cat that we'd always visit with and pet and such, and my mom always called it a "she". One day, I talked to the owner and found out that the cat was male, and I just...didn't tell anyone. Later (I don't remember exactly, but months or years later), my mom found out (about the cat, not about me already knowing), and I pretended to be surprised when she told me - it was legitimately one of the only times I've ever lied. Why? Why did I keep such a random and inconsequential secret for so long?? It haunted me the entire time we knew that cat, wish I was kidding.

I was catering and some woman kept coming over for food and after she came back a few times I was like "someone's hungry tonight." In my mind I was just making innocuous small talk but I think my tone came across as judgemental without meaning to because she seemed taken aback by it and she didn't come back to my area for the rest of the night. I've had a lot of Larry David moments but I'd rather not share the truly cringy stuff.
