Visit the museum in Oreburgh City, there's a scientist who will revive it. And it only takes the time it does to walk in and out of the building!

hold on how did you get the old amber into d/p i tried to get the fossils you get from mt moon into dp but you can't even attach them to a pokemon

You get Aerodactyle from the Old Amber. Just go to the Oreburg Coal Museum and talk to the scientist at the reception desk and he'll revive it for you.

They're considered normal items in D/P...you can even have more than one of each. You can get them in the Underground, but they're pretty rare.
