Wouldn't it be awesome if the new device promised by niantic was an old rod, style Pokemon Go plus device that you could only use near water...to catch water Pokemon...better still gen 2 water Pokemon...would fit with the batchy type of releases niantic love

All spawns are visible and accessible for all players. Incense is the only exception. Tell me how your rod could work without violating this rule.
So you run around with it near water, and it spawns pokemon only for you? Or it uses only the pokemon that are already there? In the second case, it is strictly worse than pokemon go plus.
And how would you sell it to anyone who does not have many rivers or lakes in his home town? How would you avoid screwing people living in rural areas with no river or lake nearby? How would you avoid it looking so incredibly silly that people are embarassed to use it?

Well neltharion83, the rod would spawn water Pokemon just for you that are not available in the area. As for the people in rural areas....why would they even buy it in the first place and if they did I would suggest they move to an area near water. Thirdly it would not look silly, it's design would be sleek....hope this clarifies things!

So its like an eternal incense for water pokemon.
I am not a fan, unlike the plus, this feels like cheating. Also, only water? What does that do to balancing?
