How come in the games, Pokemon are able to miraculously survive with exactly 1HP right before their untimely demise? Even if it's calculated that the Pokemon will faint, it just sometimes will not do it in the games. This doesn't happen on Shoddy.

Of course, most of the time, there is a Sandstorm or Hailstorm up or the Pokemon is Poisoned, Burned, or has a Life Orb attached... But in some cases, it's been pretty bad to me where the next turn the enemy uses a Full Restore, or they eat a berry just in time to prevent their demise. Then again, it has also helped me many times. I barely beat Byron with my Floatzel at 1HP (of course, I had 5 other Pokemon, but meh).

So.. what are you proposing? that why pokemon sometimes have only 1 hp left?
I dunno, i like it for some reason.. brings the whole.. "give it everything you've got before you lose!"(faint) feeling lol

Luck i guess?, i love it when a pokemon hits me with it's last final act of desperation but is just misses out fainting me by 1 HP :)

I like it when im left alive, but hate it when they're left alive.

Thats what im getting from this message....and if so, I cant say I blame you. They get it more often than the user does, despite ALL calculated bonuses you have (like for example, my Heracross lv 72 attack 227 Brick Break STAB damage with Fist plate against a level 62 Weavile...and the s.o.b. survives....what the hell?)

    It pisses me off man..
