There she was again, staring at the sunset like she used to. She couldn't stop thinking about him. It all happened so fast. Two months ago, he had arrived to town and since that moment, she couldn't take him off her head. He was...everything. At least to her. "What's going on with me?" She would usually say. "Why someone like me is falling for someone like him? He's such a weird kid." She sighed. "Even though, he's so sweet, charming... so thoughtful." She could feel her cheeks blushing lightly. She touched her cheek and smiled. "Maybe..."

She started remembering the day she met him. It had been a rainy day, and thunder could be heard in the distance. She was walking through the corridor when he accidentally bumped into her. "Sorry." He whispered. He helped her to her feet and put her things together. "It's OK, I'm fine." She had been so cold that day. She had taken her things rudely from his arms and walked away. "How stupid I was." She would think later. "He was just being nice and I was such a jerk."

She was no normal girl. She was not girly and man-addict like everybody else. She was a smart, cold, silent girl who was just living her life waiting for an adventure to change that. At least that's what she said. She always came under the chestnut tree looking for an answer.

Every time a boy got close to her, she would just reject him, no matter how wonderful he could be. But this time was different, and she knew it. Ever since the first minute, he had caught her attention. That black hair and those deep blue eyes had amused and trapped her, and yet scared her. He made her feel this weird thing on her stomach every time he was around. "Love", that's what her Mom called it. "Love? No... impossible", she would always say. She was feeling it again. The butterflies tickling her stomach, the weird and sometimes uncomfortable heating up of her face while she blushed. "Maybe...", she whispered.

She was staring at the sun setting once again. It was another day she had spent just thinking of him. There she was, as usual, sitting under the chestnut tree near the cliffwaiting for the sun to set once again without her answer. She felt a small, salty tear drop out her eye and slide down her cheek. "Why did I treat him that way all this time?" She sobbed. "Why couldn't I just be normal and nice for once... for him?"

Suddenly, she heard a noise coming from the bushes behind the tree. She jumped to her feet nervous and looked to the bushes. "Who's there?", she asked with a pebble on her hand, trying to hide her fear. "Hold on! I won't hurt you." She froze. She knew that voice perfectly, although she couldn't believe it was right there.

He stepped out, and she saw him. There he was, the boy who had taken her breath away for two amazingly long months. "H-hi." He gave her that warm and friendly smile of his. "What are you doing here near the cliff?" He stepped a little towards her. "What do you care anyways? And what are YOU doing here?" She blamed herself for being so rude. "Nothing. I just heard you were here and I wanted to make sure you were alright." She didn't understand why or how could he be so nice when she had been so rude just five seconds ago. "I'm fine, thanks." She slowly turned around and cleaned her face up a bit. She didn't want him to see her crying.

"Hey, what's wrong? Why are you crying?" He came closer to her, placing a comforting hand on her shoulder. "Nothing, I'm fine", she whispered. "no, you're not. Tell me what's wrong." He gently turned her around, and she had to look at him straight in the eye. "Nothing. At least nothing you can fix." She turned her face down, looking at the floor. "How do you know it's something I can't help with?" He said taking one of her hands and lifting her chin with his free hand. She shivered.

"What are you--" She didn't get to finish her sentence as he pushed her slowly to the chestnut tree and kissed her gently. She closed her eyes and felt like flying. "God...this cannot be happening!", she thought. He pulled away, looked into her eyes and smiled as he caressed her cheek. She opened her eyes and stared at him in a terribleshock. "This...I-I...What did just happened??" She was brought back from her thoughts when he pulled her hair out of her face. "I've got something to tell you...I.I...I love you." Her eyes widened and her mouth opened a little forming an "o" in surprise. She thought this was just a dream."I don't care if you are not girly or whatever. I like you the way you are: smart, thoughtful...beautiful." He blushed a little at that and smiled. She looked to the floor and then back to his eyes. "I love you too." His smile widened even more as he got closer to her again for a kiss. She wrapped her hands around his neck as he wrapped his arms around her waist to deepen the kiss.

When they parted from each other, he took her hands. "C'mon, I'll take you home. It's getting cold out here." He took his jacket off and put in on her shoulders. She looked towards the now dark sky, where the sun had already set. She knew she now had her answer. She smirked and leaned her head on his shoulder. He then put his arm around her, and started walking. "Thanks", she said. She knew he wouldn't have to come to the chestnut tree to think about him anymore. Now she had him right by her side.
