    You're thinking of a pair. Basically, you ask someone you're close with, or like, to pair with you and then you post that you're paired in here - https://www.pokecommunity.com/threads/200666 and put "paired with" in your signature. :)

    It's just a fun thing really and means nothing serious unless you want it to be.
