Yeah, the episode was great. I did not expect elekid to evolve in the middle of the battle. If he hadn't evolved Satoshi and Shinji would have lost. This episode is a must watch.

Well, they're bound to give Paul Electivire now. Leaving it as it is would be senseless.

Somehow I doubt he'll be getting Electivire, for one reason: Gary already has one.
I'm just glad that Ash used Chimchar in the finals to prove to Paul that he wasn't weak :/

I figure that they're bound to give Gary another appearence(I hope, at least) and I think seeing an Electivire vs. Electivire battle would be neat.

And I think that's the main reason Paul has an Elekid. He's essentially the "new" rival and what better way to start him off than with a Pokemon that the "old" rival has, but fully evolved?
Ohh that would be soo sweet that'll teach paul. Imagine it Thunderbolting him Paul would be freakedThe sole reason I think they gave him Elekid was for it to become a jerky Electivire. What I would love to see if that said Electrivire wouldn't listen to Shinji.
