Breeding in pokemon brings up so many questions, so choosing where to start this theory was hard, but lets start with who REALLY runs the day care.
First of all, how do two elderly people(or two little kids) take care of pokemon all day? It may be plausible with Baby pokemon like azumarill and pichu, but you can leave any pokemon at a daycare, like garchomp, tyranitar, gourgeist(the strangling pokemon), gengar and a lot more. Secondly, notice how in all daycares, there is a PC, or personal computer. PC's are fabricated and distributed by who? Most probably Silph.Co. They are found in pokemon centers, which are most likeley Silph.co. controlled. In the more recent games, there are even images of a pokeball on the PC, and pokeball's are produced by Silph.Co. We can conclude that the day care is Silph.Co. controlled. What are the elderly couple doing with all the money they should have by breeders giving them truckloads of cash? This brings me to my second point, breeding makes no sence. Notice first of all that all pokemon that can breed do so with eggs. This would not work well. If one single pokemon adapted the capacity to eat egg really well, it would dominate the food chain instantly. And mamalian pokemon also come from eggs, like teddusira and liteleo, which makes no scence. Not to mention they are all the same size and color. Notice how a fully sized laparas will hatch from any size of egg, even if it really could not fit inside the egg? Evry time a egg hatches, without fail there is a bright light that comes out, and preventing you from seeing exactly how the pokemon got out a light very similar to pokeballs when they release or capture a pokemon will shine from the egg. My hypothesis is this: Silph.co grows genetic clones of the parent pokemon in a lab somewhere. Once fully grown, they are put in modified pokeballs to look like eggs. Why wait for the trainer to do a specific amount of steps? well, if it takes steps to hatch the egg, you will probably run into some battles, meaning buying at the pokemart or healing at the pokemon center, both who are Silph.Co. Controlled, meaning more money for silph co. Why create giant breeding chain trees? well, this will encourage people to use the day care a lot, meaning a lot more money for silph co. Where would have silph co gotten cloning technology anyways? Didint team roket make a clone of mew called mew-two? didint team roket take over silph co? Oh. This leads me to my final argument and kindof a seperate theory, where do pokemon go when you release them? You might assume they are thrown back in there natural habitat, but there are problems with this. First of all, they would need to transport evry single released pokemon to there original habitat. What about pokemon like porygon and castform? they are man made, and dont have a natural habitat. What about egg moves? Imagine a pokemon food chain where mightyena are hunted by leavanny because of there type advantage, but one day a mightyena comes that has the egg move "fire fang"? A massive ecological catastrophe. They wouldent keep the pokemon in pokeballs in a warehouse, they would eventually run out of space. Killing pokemon is questionable and try to kill a ghost type like gengar. This leaves only one option. Notice how pokemon are saved as data in the PC. The pokemon arent sent in a giant warehouse but rather are stored using data. Now what can you do whith data? delete it. Yes, evry time you release a pokemon, it is simply deleted from the computer. The last dent in the cogs of this theory are the professors. Wouldent they bust this after some reaserching? but who is behind the professors? im willing to bet silph co. Before x and y, we could theorise we were the only child to have a pokedex. But in x and y, your rival CLEARLY states that EVREY child that goes on a pokemon journey recives a pokedex. To make that amout of pokedexs, they cannot be hand crafted, and must be mass produced. by who? Silph co.
Thanks for reading this large multi part theory. Hope you enjoyed!
