For those of you not aware, Discovery Channel has a new show coming out called Frozen Planet. It is just like Planet Earth the amazingly beautiful nature show they came out with earlier, but it is about the Arctic and Antarctic. In celebration of its new show, Discovery Channel has set up a camera inside the "Penguin Experience" at Sea World San Diego. They are planning to run the camera LIVE 24/7 all the way through the end of April.
Here is the URL to the Ustream of this amazing event : https://dsc.discovery.com/tv/frozen-planet/penguin-cam/

Also, there is a petition going to make the Penguin Camera permanent. If you would like to sign up for the petition, do so here: Animals Petition: Keep the Penguin Cam | Change.org

Discovery Channel is very adamant about wildlife preservation, and this event helps show just how much people are doing to help preserve these magnificent creatures. Frozen Planet is not only about penguins, it is about ALL life on the poles, from Polar Bears and Arctic Wolves, to narwhals and sea lions. Discovery Channel wants everybody to know about these amazing creatures and their habitat so that we may all help to preserve them.

Per request, I'm moving this to OC. Hopefully this can facilitate a more general discussion on wildlife preservation (as that's what the OP's intent is).

    Moving on up
