Well, as some of you know I have a loving for Miltank, and this is the new set I worked up for him.

    Miltank@Liechi Berry/Salac Berry
    Scrappy
    Jolly/Adamant~252 Speed/252 Attack
    Reversal
    Endure
    Ice Punch
    Fire Punch

With Scrappy, Reversal hits everything. With an extra speed boost from the Salac Berry, this thing scares a lot of pokemon. With Fire Punch, even Skarmory and Bronzong have to be hesitant. It almost OHKOs Foretress with 4x damage, and Ice Punch Scares away The dragons, along with Donphan. You're probably going to say, Blaziken does a much better job with this, but it doesn't have the defense of a Miltank. Plus I like Miltank more. This is for a rate, but I guess if you need to say something, do so.

Endureversaling is a bad strategy, after all, if Tyranitar sets up weather, then you have no escape with Miltank.

You beat me to it. Really, all reversal sets (miost anyways) totally fail, as OUT comes claydol to lol at you. Besides, miltank doesn't have quite enough attack power to make it worthwhile...

Reversal only works to perfection if you're running with:

    A. Lucario (See IceCario Team Topic for more info)
    B. Anything that gets a STAB off of it
    C. Anything that can resist Sandstorm and has High Attack

In short, Miltank doesn't have the attack to pull off powerful Reversals. And Sandstorm / Ice Shard screws it anyway.

probably a nooby question, but why is Scrappy with fire/ice punch illegal??
And how would Scrappy in the 3rd generation own??

And im pretty sure that the endure and reversal combo isnt good knowing that the evil OU Ttar will set up a sandstream and will totally mess up your strategy.

Scrappy is a 4th gen only ability, but Fire/Ice/Thunderpunch are only obtainable through 3rd gen move tutors. Therefore, it is impossible to have elemental punches with Scrappy.

When you transfer Pokemon from 3rd Gen games, they keep their ability as well, like my Breloom with Thunderpunch kept it's Effect Spore trait, but couldn't get the Posion Heal trait. Since the punches for certain Pokemon are only avaliable in the 3rd Gen games, Emerald/FireRed/etc. and traits are kept when brought over to D/P. Simply put, if I migrate my Miltank from Emerald with Ice and Fire Punch over to D/P with the Thick Fat ability, it wouldn't "magically" gain Scrappy because it's D/P.

Edit: Bah, beat to it. :P

CHRIS explained it a hell of a lot better than I did.
