PHP 5 Help

PHP 5/4 (whatever) Help

I downloaded it, installed it, reboot it.... but still my apache server act like it doesn't know any PHP codes. Please help! Do I need to change the config. or something? I just starting to learn apache to I'm a newbie!

I would think installing PHP4 would be close to the same as PHP5.

no. php 4 isnt compatable with php 5. my friend had me install a vB on his php 5 server ans it didint work. we had to install php 4.8.3

i suggest u hold off on using PHP5 as it is indeed different the ver 4 and isn't compatible at all..

i've yet to see any (freely available) scripts written for php5 anyway so. ur just wasting diskspace..

for help with it's install/setup, just visit their website..

my friend knows someone who is making (converting his)a php script thaat is compatable for php 5
