    Apparently if you're patient enough, there is a fourth option for your starter Pok?mon.

    So what do you all think? Would you have rather had Pikachu? Is it worth opening another account to try this out?
     
    I don't know, I'm not really getting much use out of my Charmander as it is - with the way "training" works in this game it's really difficult to level up/evolve Pokemon that are harder to find, and I've yet to see a Pikachu so I doubt I'd be able to use it much if I had one. That's a cool easter egg, though! I would have done it if I knew when I started, but I don't think I'll restart just for Pikachu, haha.
     
    Right? It would have been a nice beginning type-advantage.

    Flying/water are the most abundantly available by far.
     
    I think I'm fine in the park close to here you can find a bunch of Pikachu. I have 3 already. Unluckily they are not strong my highest has a cp of 34.
     
    Tried it out and I got a pikachu with thunder, so that was pretty cool. I wonder if anyone is experimenting to see if you can get more than just pikachu to appear for a starter.

    If you can ignore Bulbasaur, Charmander, Squirtle and Pikachu, do 1000 backflips, throw your phone 10 miles in the air, all without your phone dying then you can start with Mew. Lol.
     
    I started by catching pikachu, and i got a charmander at my neighbourhood shortly after that. It is quite rare to find pikachu in the wild tho
     
    Don't get me wrong I love Pikachu, but I am satisfied with my choice of Charmander when starting the game. Yes if I knew there was an opportunity for Pikachu I may have taken it but I certainly am not starting over just to get a Pikachu. I will take my chances in getting him in the wild.
     
    Yeah, I agree with you all. Pikachu's just not something I'd really want to start all over for.

    Although I still have yet to encounter one, so it must be fairly rare around here.
