im just about to go through viridean forest and i curently have


a bulbasaur 14

spearow 11


mankey 11

i dont see the point in nameing their current moves as their just the first 4 they learn

but are these okay levels

shall i catch a pikachu i lready have a grass type and going to have a water type with nice type moves

and what other pokemon shall i have on my team

prefrably early game

though im thinking about waiting for staryu though

Since you already have a Bulbasaur, I'd say Pikachu isn't needed. Bulbasaur should be able to get you past Brock and Misty by itself. If you really want an electric type, get Zapdos.

As far as your water type, use the Lapras you get in Sliph Co in Saffron. It can really help with Lance's dragons as it learns Ice Beam naturally. I do suggest getting an Arcanine or Ninetails as well, depending on the version you're playing.

Sludge Bomb is secondary STAB and Synthesis helps to recover health.

Thunderbolt
confuse ray/Sing/Psychic

Electric and Ice always get good Super-Effective Coverage. Either do Sing or Confuse Ray in the last slot. If you don't like status effects too much, then Psychic is your alternative.

Iron Tail/Agility
Bite
extreme speed

Flamethrower is far better than Flame Wheel, and Fire Blast is too inaccurate. Bite is always useful for Flinching, while Iron Tail allows you to hit Rock types. Alternatively, Agility can boost your speed.

im playing leaf green but i might trade across a growlith
for water ill probably use stamie or vaporeon
if i go with vaporeon ill get a mr.mime

Yeah, Starmie is good. Better than Vaporeon in my humble opinion.

Here's the moveset I recommend for Starmie:

Surf
Thunderbolt
Ice Beam
Recover/Psychic

Can't go wrong with that moveset. Electric and Ice always get good Super-effective coverage, and you have 2 STAB moves in the form of Surf and Psychic. You can use Recover in place of Psychic if you want to keep Starmie alive longer.

You also mentioned using either Pidegot or Spearow. Well since you said you can trade, I'd trade a Charmander over to LeafGreen, as Charizard is a more reliable Flying type, as it has a far wider movepool.
