    I just started a new game on Fire Red, and I was wondering if there was a Pikachu I could catch early.
    To my knowledge there is pikachus in maridean forest (I forget the name, havn't played in a while) but it's the first forest you go through.
     
    Yes that Is correct you normally find em on level 3 or so but yes its the first one,Viridian forest I believe
     
    Yup, that is the earliest point in the game you can pick up a Pikachu.
