:) Hopefully I'll be able to explain this so in the end you'll end up posting something similar to what I've done here:
Okay, to begin, you need to be able to control the mouse so you can draw lines, just like how you would draw on paper. This is hard, since nobody usually uses their mouse for drawing, only for well, computer use. So, just take a while, and when you think you're ready, then you can continue.
Changing colors is easy. Look at the tab where the sections like File, Tools, all that, and press Color, Edit Colors.
There, choose a color that seems to match what you want, and isn't to bright.
BUT, before you do ANY coloring, you need a basic sketch.
Doing your basic sketch is easy, if you use the brush tool, and then press the smallest "tip" on there. Draw what you want to make, then take the color you actually want to use (I usually use thicker lines for outlines), and do your final outline.
When you're satisfied, removed your sketch, and you have your plain lines. So, then you edit colors again, and keep on doing it until you're satisfied.
Now, here's how I think you're doing so far. Good work, but using Paint is usually hard at the beginning. I recommend looking up tutorials, and asking others who are more experianced with Paint. :) Good luck!
