Rules are not suggestions, they are ultimatums. You MUST obey PC's rules. By not obeying the rules, you run the risk of being temporarily banned by the Admins/S-Mods depending on the rules broken & the circumstance(s) in which you broke the rules.

    Pixel Art Rules
    (Home of the Sprites Rules)
    -----------------------------------

    1. Ask before using another members Sprites. They took the time to make them, you take the time to ask before using them.

    2. Do not steal other members Sprites, period. If you've asked permission to use one & they declined, you simply forget about it.

    3. Do not take on the responsibility of making your own Sprite Request thread if you don't plan on being very active in it. If you make one, try & be as active as possible.

    4. Do not make excessive topics for one sprite. If you make a lot of sprites, don't make one thread for each sprite. Make yourself a "Username's Sprites" thread and put them all in the same one.

    5. When visiting a members sprite thread & you decide to comment on his/her sprite(s), don't just say "that's good", "I like it" or "that's bad", make a substantial post. Describe what's good about it & what's bad. If you just say "that's great" it's counted as spam.

    6. BE PATIENT. When you request a sprite, and the person says they'll do it, they probably intend on doing it. There is no need for you to push them. The members making the sprites do have lives ya know, not to mention the long list of requests they probably have. They'll get around to yours when they're able.

    7. Do not create a new thread simply to request a sprite. Always post in a currently running request thread rather than cluttering the forum with one-request posts.

    8. A member can't have more than 3 threads for adoptions/requests/showcase in 15 days. Keep your number of threads down to prevent cluttering the forums. It's best to keep all your sprites to one thread as then people know where to find all of your work.

    9. When somebody requests something, they should put it in their sig/avatar for at least a week, or make an album on photobucket for all of their requests and put a link in their sig to it. All the spriters in HotS work really hard on making them, so it's not fair to degrade their efforts.

    10. When making a request thread please give at least 3 examples. You won't get customers when they don't even know what your sprites look like. Threads without 3 examples will first be told to add them,if ignored the thread will be closed.

    11. No one is allowed to make a single thread asking for help with their request thread/adoption/game development, everyone finds these annoying and spammy. Rather then making these threads PM someone asking for help. If they say no then that's that, no if's, and's, or but's.

    12. If you can't take criticism then don't even upload the sprite. For every post that's complaining about someone "being mean" when they're just giving a crit, your thread will get a warning. After the first warning your thread better watch it because it doesn't have any other chances.

    13. You must get a moderator's permission before making a Sprite Contest thread. If you make one without the approval of a Mod, then it will be closed.

    14. When the Thread creator says that Requests are closed or they do not take Requests, then please TAKE NOTICE OF THAT. It is frustrating when somebody obliviously requests a sprite when the thread creator specifically said that Requests are closed, or they are not taking requests. Posts that request sprites in certain threads when not meant to will be automatically classed as SPAM.
